Move over Inimitable; here comes High Dèfinicils ($23.50). Back In 1991, Lancôme released its first-ever luxury mascara, called Définicils. Sixteen years later and after much success (more than 25 million tubes sold), it launched Dèfinicils Pro. This year Lancôme has expanded the line again with High Définicils, which joined the family in late January. Having used all three mascaras, I can say they are each wonderful for different reasons.
The original Définicils is a firm, straight brush that does a fantastic job of separating lashes. It's best suited for a polished, daytime look.
Définicils Pro has a curved brush that deposits more color at the base for a fuller, thicker look, and High Définicils has a bendy, rubber applicator to lengthen lashes and even give them a little bit of sheen. When Courbe Virtuose came out, I thought it was the be-all-end-all, but Lancôme is certainly providing steep competition. Are you interested in checking it out?

No...I used to like Lancome mascara years ago, but I don't really use it anymore. They're okay, but not my favorite. I like the one I use from Clinique a million times better.
1I love lancome mascaras but too pricey for me since I like to change my mascara every month. I like the new maybelline mascara its green and the other one is orange.
2I've always wanted to try Lancome mascaras. One of few brands I haven't tapped yet. I'm on it!
3Not a fan...
4I love, love Lancome mascaras ... my fav is hypnose but I may have to try out the two new Definicils. I like their eyelash primer too, I forget what it's called ...
5I just want something that will make my lashes hold a curl.
6A few years ago I got the Hypnose mascara - it's indeed very good, but Maybelline's Full and Soft does almost as good (it's just less thick), and without testing on amimals and being super expensive!
A shame I can't find F&S anymore..
7yes.
8No. I'm all about Fiberwig.
9At long last a lustrous mascara that lengthens lashes, delivers color that does not smudge, and absolutely, positively refuses to clump!
This bravo winning performance may be due to the precise placement of the rubber brush segments. They're carefully aligned and not all pushed together as in some other mascaras. Hence, lashes are lifted and separated as color is applied. In addition, the wand is slim for easy maneuverability on both upper and lower lashes. The new smooth glide brush is a major coup!
Lancome, I love it!
