I am all about embracing natural beauty, but sometimes it's fun to change up our everyday look, especially for a special occasion. If you happen to have wavy or curly hair, getting a sleek blowout is a surefire way to feel fancy. To help you get this look at home, I've put together a list of must-have products that will help eliminate the damage to your hair while achieving the look.
Frederic Fekkai Technician Mask ($35) is the most moisturizing mask I've ever put on my hair. It protects against damage by closing and sealing the hair shaft. I won't let a blow-dryer near my hair without using this first.
Dove Advanced Care Heat Shield Styling Spray ($5) is a heat-protecting leave-in, and products like this are essential for a silky blow-dry. This thermal protecting spray will coat your strands and absorb the heat from your styling tools so that your hair follicles don't.

I'm a fan of the T3 Tourmaline Hair Dryer ($200) As I've said before, the T3 dryer really is worth the splurge. It reduces the length of time your fragile hair is exposed to heat, and it blasts your hair with negative ions to smooth the cuticle and eliminate frizz.
Finally, you might want to check out the Chi 1-in. Ceramic Flat Iron ($80). Ceramic irons actually lock moisture into your hair, rather than drying it out. Like the Tourmaline dyer, the ceramic plates seal the hair cuticle so that it is resistant to humidity and frizz.

I want that hairdryer! and a GHD straightner
1Good to know!
2I just bought the T3 from QVC, and I LOVE it. I was a little gunshy because of the price tag, but I definitely notice a big difference! I don't need another hairdryer for a longggg time.
3Great to know...
4i'm still hooked on elchim blowdriers! perk:they have a lifetime warranty
5Frederic Fekkai DOES make a difference.
6I've never tried the Frederic Fekkai line. Do any of you curly haired girls use it? What is best?
7I own the T3 and that CHI flat iron. I have straight hair that gets wavy towards the ends, and the T3 along with the round T3 hairbrush helps rid of that annoying wave. Also the CHI is amazing!
8The Fekkai one looks great.
9Just a tip on the Dove product- it is incredibly sticky then dries stiff-ish, making my hair woefully tangled and icky to touch.
10I have not tried frederic fekkai's masks, but I've used deep conditioners that are very close contenders. Honestly, for an expensive mask I'd say Hamadi Shea Hair mask is the best. If you want something cheap, then I would use Pantene Nourishing Mask. Also, dominican Deep Conditioners give superb blowouts. Nacidit Olive Oil and Miss Key is one of my favorites.
11CHI is the best!
12good to know. i love fekai products, theyre good for colored hair
13i've had my chi flat iron for years and i love it. It can straighten anything.
14I love FF but I love my HAI way better than the CHI
