questionable hair and makeup of the Grammys, I've assembled a montage of some not-so-hot looks from the Academy Awards, too. Check out a selection of awkward choices throughout the years, and try not to giggle
too much.

Ugh, I hated Jen's hair that year...

Most of these people are repeat offenders, which makes you wonder if they keep the same stylist year in and year out.
6I will half of those were not misteps. they were perfectly acceptable at the time but looking back they are tacky. That is different than like Helena Bonham looking like she just got beaten in the head and then still came. THAT is a misstep. Dark liner with light fill on your lip wasnt a sin then. It is NOW!

10Great slide show! I agree many of the looks were trendy during the time the photo was taken, but now seem silly. Then again, a few of them are current and still look bad (looking at you, J Lo). It will be interesting to look back on the 2000's now that this decade is almost done, and see what looks endure and which ones were mistakes.

13I definitely agree that some of these aren't "missteps" at all. They were in style at the time or just fun. And at this level, it's all about fun and attention.
14And ditto nadioz, I love J.Lo's hair in the first pic!
15This hairstyle looks good because JLo is as beautiful as she is. But otherwise it's really too poodle-like!
