Sally Hansen has partnered with TLC's What Not to Wear makeup maven Carmindy Bowyer to launch a new cosmetics collection called Natural Beauty. According to WWD, the 140-unit line is expected to hit stores next month.
This is Hansen's second attempt at manufacturing makeup; in 2003, the company created a line called Healing Beauty, but it didn't take off.
Keeping in the trend for eco-friendly makeup, the paraben-free formulas include minerals and extracts of soy, bamboo, papaya, and mango. What's more, the line ($7.95–$12.95) will launch with a website that features video styling tips from Carmindy — so if you like your makeup natural, but applying it doesn't come naturally, you'll have a little help.

Hmm I'll probably check this out but only because of Carmindy. I love her! She is so talented, and I just love her overall philosophy when it comes to makeup and beauty.
1ooh, that's exciting! I love Carmindy, and I'm always looking for makeup without too much junk added.
2Yay - Carmindy is awesome! Her skin always looks so flawless and glowing.
3I love her! She always give good make up tips!
4i love how she makes people look beautiful and natural.
5Love her!!
6Carmindy is a true artist. I'm looking forward to that website.
7Paraben free and reasonable prices. Sounds like a winner to me.
8Awesome...
9Sally Hansen tests on animals. Despite the ingredients, animal testing is about as unnatural as it gets.
10Love Her!
11foxie - Sally Hansen's site says they don't test

12I'll definitely be checking this out. Carmindy is awesome, she always looks so fresh and beautiful.
I already like Sally Hansen lip glosses and nail polish so I'm expecting this new line to be of good quality.
13This is great!
I just bought one of those new Sally Hansen Natural Butter Lip Shines. It's such a pretty rosy-pink shade, and it's super-glossy and smells like strawberries. I adore it.
14I love Carmindy, I'll definitely have to check this out.
15love Carmindy!
16risqueredhead: Thanks for clearing that up! I also thought Sally Hansen tested on animals but I checked the caring consumer website & you're right, they're no longer listed as animals that test.
I'm really excited because I used to love buying their nail polishes & topcoats. After I found out they tested on animals I stopped buying. I'm so glad they changed their ways. I hope others cosmetic companies will soon follow. Here's the link to the website for the lists of companies that do and do not test on animals:

17Oops I meant "they're no longer listed as a company that tests on animals". Wish there was a way to edit out comments after posting lol.
18I love Carmindy! I want her to have her own show. That woman is fiiiierce.
19Oh, that's good news! =D
20This is great! I love Carmindy!
21She's awesome.
22I love Sally Hansen and Carmindy's book has been sitting on my shelf for months ( I really must get around to reading it)
23I'm cool with carmindy,
24but If I see her stick one more person in a "peach gloss" I think my head will explode.
lol monica--peach gloss. But- in her defense, a lot of those women are makeup virgins and would freak if the color were too intense. And peach is more grown up than pink, and very flattering...sooo...But I will say, her Carmindy line nectar gloss (which is a peachy shade) is one of my favs. I've tried several things from this new line, and it's worht trying. the products are nice, great textures, and nice color options- nothing too funky or over the top, but a line full of great basics.
25Too bad she had to pair up with a company (Sally Hansen) that promotes animal cruelty by having animal testing. I thought Carmindy would have cared more, mabe she dosen't know any better. Now she's promoting this, it's disturbing, b/c so many are buying into it.
