Yesterday at the Lauren Conrad LA Fashion Show her BFF and new roomie Lo Bosworth (also of The Hills) styled her hair in a chic, teased chignon. The teasing gives height to the crown and sides of her head (which gives symmetry and balance to an oval face). To learn how to re-create this fashion-forward look at home, just follow my directions.

- STEP 1: Begin with damp hair. (If your hair hasn't been washed in a day or two, that's even better — just spritz it with water.) Then add about two fist-sized amounts of mousse to your hair and distribute it evenly. Use a large round brush to blow hair dry, directing the hair away from the face.
- STEP 2: Tease the crown of your hair in three sections: left front, center, and right front. As you finish each section, spray the back of the hair with hairspray to ensure hold. When you are finished, very gently brush the front of the hair backwards.
- STEP 3: Grab all of your hair at the nape of your neck and secure with an elastic (and make sure the elastic is tight).
- STEP 4: Twist your ponytail and then wrap it into a bun around the base of the ponytail. Secure with hairpins as you go so that it has support in various locations; this keeps it from unwinding. When you're near the end, fold the ends under the bun, and secure by criss-crossing two hair pins. As a finishing touch, smooth your hands over the bun to loosen any stray hairs. This keeps the style modern, fresh, and not overly "done" — just like Lo's!

She looks horrible here. Sorry, but it's true!
Hmmm never been a hair teasing person...
Urgh... teased hair. Yuckkk.
She's always looked funny to me...
I always thought she was so pretty
woah she looks so different...at first i didn't recognize her...
i think it looks great on her!
She used to be so cute...what happened? It looks like she lost too much wieght, which is making her face look very sharp. I like the hair do, but it looks better on debra messing. (thats the only person I could think of that wears her hair like this)
she has the richest sounding last name, bosworth...
Ooh, I don't really like this do. I actually think it's quite matronly rather than being fashion forward. She just looks... prissy or something.
It's so adorable on her, but I could never pull it off. Never.
I think she looks cute.
If anything she has gained, look at the full length shot... her face was always sharp.
I like this hairstyle rather a lot, but I agree it's not fashion-forward -- I'd only wear it with a modern structural dress to create a contrast. ... but I feel like this would only look good on lower hairlines or square foreheads like Lo's, not higher hairlines.
I'll have to give this hairstyle a try since I have a similar hairline and face shape. Unfortunately I'm horrible at styling hair..
i'm not liking this look at all!
I've always thought Lo was adorable, and one of the cooler chicks in a circus of idiots. Not implying that she doesn't have her moments.
wow she did lose a lot of weight
She looks great! I've tried this hair style before and absolutely love it. It is very elegant.
I think she looks great! love Lo!
Yeah no doubt MTV told her to
she always does her hair like that
i think it looks cute on her.
She looks really good here!
awww poor girl- she gains weight in her body and loses it in her face only. Her face looks GAUNT, but her body does not...
Yeah..uuh no friggin way! She looks uglier than before! She already has a horsey face and now her groomer made look even more ready for the stables! Mean girl little miss lo down to the ground! Who cares what her hair looks like I just wish it covered her mouth so she wouldn't be so whiny!!!
Your right she does look fat! Must be all the sushi!
She looks so mousy and is not attractive in the least.
She is very pretty, but the hair isn't working for me.
I don't like it
