One of my current beauty obsessions is Yves Saint Laurent Touche Brilliance. It's a sheer, thin-textured, sweet-smelling lip gloss that comes in a clickable pen, and it contains little specs of glitter that create the most incredible amount of shine. To my surprise, I saw an almost identical version created by Victoria's Secret.

Although the Victoria's Secret tube is slightly fatter even though it contains .03 oz. less product (hmmm, I guess that means there's more air inside) I'm willing to bet that if you showed these to a nonbeauty junkie they wouldn't be able to tell them apart. | Yves Saint Laurent Touche Brilliance | Victoria's Secret Brilliant Lip Shine | Advantage? | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Texture | Has a thin, smooth texture without any stickiness or tackiness. | Also has a smooth, sticky-free texture, but is slightly creamier. | Victoria's Secret (although it's very close). Because of the creaminess, you don't feel the glitter on your lips quite as much. |
| Brilliance | The gloss picks up more colors when it hits the light. |
The glitter is more dispersed so it's shiny, but not as iridescent. |
Yves Saint Laurent. The glitter is more finely milled, so the shine is brighter. |
| Fragrance | Has more of a clean, flowery fragrance. | Has a vague, sweet marshmallow-like scent. | Yves Saint Laurent. It contains their signature fragrance, which gets me every time. |
| Color Options | 13 different shades. | Six different shades. | Yves Saint Laurent has more than double the amount of color options to choose from. |
| Price | $29 | $12 | Victoria's Secret by 17 bucks. |

hmm thats a tough one...but yves all the way!
1I've never had anything from yves..., but Victoria got me with the price!
2who would pay 30 bucks for lip gloss?
3trienta dolares..........muy MAL! lol...
4I'm not really a fan of glitter in my gloss, but if I had the urge for it, I'd try the VS version.
5Victoria's Secret wins cause you can buy 2 for the price of one YSL!
6Not a fan of VS cosmetics.
7I'm not a fan of glitter in my lipgloss, like emalove - otherwise, I'd be all over the VS version. Though I'm not a fan of the click-pen applicator thingy...
8i dont like glitter in my gloss either. but the first thing i would want to check out are the ingredients...especially since some of ysl's lipsticks have been known to have lead in them...
9id probs buy them both lol but i hate glosses with glitter bits in them.
10I would try the VS version to test if I liked it before spending the $29 on the YSL.
11victoria's secret cosmetics are horrible quality. i've had brushes fall right out of the applicator, one leak all over, etc. and they're sticky. not worth it.
12I don't like the clicky pen glosses. I know this sounds weird, but I feel like I go through them so much faster than a regular gloss with a wand.
13VS for the win, then!
14I'd have to try both out...
15Absolutelly hate all Victoria Secret stuff...cheap, all made in some overseas manufacturing who knows, falls apart, does not smell good...and really overpriced...please ladies and gents do yourself a favor and go see your local shops for all this stuff...you will be much more satified.
