When I saw these Jelly Pong Pong popsicle soaps (about $10 each), I first smiled at their design. Then I looked at the scents — watermelon, lemonade, fudge, etc — and wasn't as keen on the idea. To me, food-scented beauty can be a wonderful treat for the senses, or it can be an olfactory disaster that turns my stomach. I need to ask Yum for her thoughts on the subject, but I'm curious as to yours, too.

Yes, especially vanilla and strawberry scented products.
Some, although some products just smell heinous when they try to mimic a fruit or something.
I just bought some Giovanni Hot Chocolate Sugar Scrub from Target yesterday. It smelled amazing and when I used it today, my skin feels like pure silk and I smell like hot cocoa a bit.
It really just depends on the product. I love citrus scented stuff. I have a body scrub that someone bought for me that is vanilla scented, I like that too. It's really subtle though.
Some food scented beauty products smell too young, I guess. I don't really want to wander around smelling like a piece of watermelon bubblicious.
a strong fruity smell really irritates me...i suggest if you like subtle scents but still delish and not childish, try l'occitane almond line. i used to work at the store in high school and ughhh i can't get over my obsession to this day! ask for samples if you don't wanna splurge on any of the products in the line.
mmmm yes! Sometimes they just smell SO good
For the most part, I love food scented beauty stuff. But there are some products out there that smell nothing like what it's mimicking and the result is completely revolting.
Right there with emalove
When I was in middle/high school, the girls all wore this disgusting gummy bear body spray crap. There was the cotton candy one too, and they all smelled disgusting.
It depends on the scent. I love vanilla anything. But some can smell funky.
I would, but not in the summer...lol
I like several food scented products. Some favorites are Cinnamon Buns body wash, a couple of the Escada summer fragrances, Pink Sugar fragrance, and a couple of coconut lime scented items to name just a few.
yes, of course!
Pink Sugar is good, so are the Philosophy lines of body washes. Yum!
It depends. I like essential oils and the real deal when it comes to scent. I'm not big on smelling like candy or fruit unless it's citrus, depends. I think the time I really liked fruity scents was grade school..
I depends on the product and the actual scent. I hate a certain cocoa butter lotion, that isn't actually made to smell like food. I hate it because it makes me reek of cocoa puffs and I never want to smell like cocoa puffs.
Most of the time no. A hint of vanilla, or apple here and there can be OK, but not when the product is all food scent and advertised as such.
Definately Vanilla and Chocolate!
Maybe I'm the odd one out here, but I'm not really a fan of food-scented products (with the occasional exception of citrusy scents).
I love vanilla, frosting, and cake/cookie smells. I'm obsessed with Jacqua pink buttercream lotion!
I pretty much refuse to buy lip gloss unless it's scented XD
Sometimes yes, sometimes no, depends on my mood and the season! Also, never, EVER any banana-scented stuff! Yuck!
you bet i do!
Some products work out well with having the product smell like a food. Yet some are over powering and end up making the scent to seem disgusting.
I want one!
I usually like it however the scent has to be in light doses ( and nothing grape or apple flavored.)
they seem pretty handy, soap on a stick so the soap doesnt get all mushy.
and bella, its 7 USD. you can convert the pricing to USD.
Food-scented beauty products are great. One thing though: I will NEVER use bacon soap. Ever.
i like fruit scented products, but i draw the line a chocolate-flavored balm. it tasted like crap
lol my mom once made grandma try on one of her lipglosses, and granny was like "what's that jelly you have piut on my mouth???" loool
Too juvenile for me.
i'm fine w/ fruit flavored products
It really depends on the product and on the scent - I tend to like chocolate and berry-scented or flavored things, but sometimes they just miss the mark...
I prefer floral scents.
I think they're fun for weekends but it's not something I'd wear out or to work. You aren't going to be taken seriously if you smell like a cupcake.
other - I think they are cute and fun and the scents don't usually bother me but I have never had a goo experience with the product itself so I stray away from them ususally.

goo = good
