Do you remember all of the hype about a year ago over Jergen's Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer? Like the rest of America, I just had to have it and I found myself frantically hopping around to three different drug stores until I was able to find a tube of the coveted Natural Glow for Face.
I used it for a month or so and until I realized that I was turning a bit orange and that constant strong self tanner smell was starting to make me feel woozy! I need some help finding a new self tanner that is light, natural looking and has a smell that I can stomach.
Let's all go beauty marking to help me find a new self tanner. Be sure to come back and tell me when your Beauty Marks are up. Tag your choices with Self Tanner. To learn what a Beauty Mark is and how to make one, click here.

I am in love with Bath and Body works true blue spa tanner. I have used it for 4 years and all my friends love it too!
It smells self-tanner-esque, but I wear it to bed and it doesn't stain my pillow. I don't
have to wear make-up during the day because it evens out the skin tone! Can't bookmark it because they only have it in the summer,
so I usually stock up then.
1I use the vaseline lotion with the tanner in it. I've tried most of the ones they carry at the store and i've found it work best in the lotion version. I've also recently tried the Bath and Body Works spray and I like it alot too, it looked alot like a real tan and not orange-y. I'm going to try the other versions, they have the on sale in our store for $4!! Also, if you buy something they give you a True Blue Spa coupon to use in a few weeks for a free product with a purchase. YAY!!!
2oooo yay! thanks for the update jessie!
3i love modelco's self tanner spray, from sephora. a bit pricey but IMO worth it - beautymarked it!
4I use the Jergens and it works quite well!!! Very natural. Just make sure you wash your hands.
5You wouldn't want to pull a Lindsay Lohan!
6Clarins makes a very nice self-tanner.
7i have yet to find a self tanner that does not make me look orange or dirty, i cannot wait to see what everyone finds
8flutter-the one, the only, accept no substitutions
I don't know how to do bookmarks, but I really like Clinique's face self tanner.

A little goes a long way, I goofed the first couple times and put on too much. I looked like an Oompa Loompa.
9Fake Bake for the Face from Sephora is the best i've used and I am a self tanning expert of sorts.
Now if i could just figure out how to bookmark
10The Jergens stuff doesn't really tan at all. It's just like regular moisturizer.
11meh i heard this smells like cat piss.
12missyukp--I agree! Fake Bake is the best one out there, and as an esthetician I've tried EVERYTHING! People always ask me how I got so tan...they don't even know it's fake until I tell them...even better use the fake bake and then use Loreal Sublime Bronze as your moisturizer!!!
13I use this sublime Glow formula by L'Oreal.
I have been using it for a week now but I didn't realize it was a "tanning" cream... I thought it was just a facial moisturizer that created a "glow"..I really don't need to tan... I mean I am medium skinned tone but I like my colour and don't want to be lighter or darker.
Anyhow, I was wondering if you could recommend a good facial moisturizer.
14My fav for a few years has been The Body Shop's Fake It! Self tan Lotion for Body...they have a special face tanner of the same brand but "the body" version is grease-free and is much more efficient for the face IMO. One application is a nice sun kiss and is excellent for my usually oily skin. As for the smell: it's virtually odorless!! It has the lightest smell I've ever experienced and what is evident is quite pleasant.
I've given the tag below for one of the two available shades.

16uhh ya i can't stand the smell of jergens and don't know why editors and everyone else raves about it-it doesn't even make me look tan at all. it doesn't even work on me
