Bare It All Lustrous Lotion by Revlon, $13, is a limited edition with its own special carved out area in the Revlon section of your drugstore. It is a unique formula made from ultra refined pearls that is easily blend-able. You can either use it alone, or mix it into your foundation for all over illumination. Neutrogena Shimmer Sheers All Over Color, $8.19, creates the most subtle of highlights on your face. It is made from a weightless and sheer oil free, fragrance free, non-sticky and non-greasy formula. It contains anti-oxidants, aloe vera and vitamins A and E to help nourish your skin. I've found that luminizers tend to highlight the flaws in my skin...kind of like using a semi-gloss paint on an imperfect wall surface...it's better to use flat paint to hide the flaws. So, I guess I'm sticking to no luminizers.
1I agree, I feel like these would just emphasize the shiney spots on my face rather than make me glow.
2thanks for those thoughts- I was somewhat intrigued but not really enthused about emphasizes any flaws.
3If you only put the luminizer on your brow bones and upper cheekbones it looks great! I love High Beam by Benefit.
4I totally agree with RCLdesigngirl. I've tried a number of luminizers and they all seem to highlight my flaws rather than giving me that gorgeous glow I expect.
