Spring-clean your hair by getting rid of dulling residue and boring, flat color. It's easy to brighten up your Winter color with a color-enhancing shampoo and conditioner, or even something as basic as this John Frieda Clear Shine Luminous Color Glaze will add life to your lackluster locks. These drugstore brands are low-cost ways to create a high impact. Check out my product suggestions below.

- Blondes: Take away yellow undertones by mixing in bright, pale pieces to your crown. I suggest using L'Oreal Frost & Design Pull Through Cap Highlight Kit in Champagne.
- Light Brunettes: Glazing your dark locks with ash blond is a great pick me-up for mousy brown hair. Try Clairol Natural Instincts Non-Permanent Haircolor in Medium Ash Blonde.
- Redheads: Red locks crave richness. Amp up your fading hair with L'Oreal Preference Fade Defying Color & Shine System in Intense Red.
- Deep Brunettes: Super-dark hair needs to look shiny and even without looking greasy. Boost your base color with Revlon Colorist Expert Color and Glaze System in Dark Brown.

Mine is a la natural!
1I'm a blonde that gets highlights. At some salons they put a (wash? toner?) on for just a minute after rinsing the highlights, and then immediately wash it off. The process slightly lightens my hair overall.
Does anyone know what the process is and if it can be bought at a drugstore?
I was thinking a quick rinse of might serve to brighten just a touch in between highlights.....
2I am getting my hair dyed on Friday! Woot!
3Dyed my hair right before Easter! Love it!
4Got the highlights retouched this weekend, she went a bit darker but the blonde 'lights are still looking fab.
5I just recently used that L'Oreal Dream Blonde in Moonlight Beam/Light Blonde, and it was pretty great, plus it came with a blonde shampoo and conditioner. Made my hair a natural golden blonde, which is my natural color but better. I'll probably use that again when I need to.
6i can wait to get my
7lights retouched.....
i love them .......
specially in spring=D
My color is natural and I'm keeping it that way, but I'm all for hair color! I say go for it!!
8I love Ashlee's hair color! I've never been too into coloring my hair, but I've always wanted to go red...when I start seeing grays, I'm going to go for it!
9i've had red highlights for a while now, but i'm thinking about going all-over red. i love ashlee's shade.
10I'd like to try the L'Oreal Frost & Design that you recommend.... but I am always too nervous to do an at home kit....
11be very careful if you do highlights with a cap at home... i tried it with the kit mentioned and ended up pulling out way too much hair,,, the color was also off (orangish places) and i ended up having to get my hair professionally dyed all platinum to fix my mistake, which fried my hair even more
12Ill keep this in mind
13Would the blonde glaze work equally well on medium brown hair? I'm afraid it would turn orange...
14I'll definitely try the glaze
