Mario Badescu, the spa where celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and Natalie Portman have their pores purged, offers complimentary skin consultations through its web site. You just have to fill out an online questionnaire, and in a few weeks, you'll get free samples of products customized to your skin situation.
The deal sounds too good to be true, but it's actually great. I went undercover, using my own name and not mentioning BellaSugar. Within days of filling out the online questionnaire, a Mario Badescu representative e-mailed me to ask some follow-up questions about the state of my skin. I answered them and sent a picture, too. In about two weeks, I received a packet of samples along with a guide to using them. No freaky sales pressure, just detailed guidance and generously sized samples. So if you're looking for a new skin-care regimen and want to try before you buy, you know what to do.

Aimee, you fill out the questionnaire and they email you the recommended products after a day or two. They also send the samples of almost all of the products they recommend. It only took about a week for mine to come. And you can buy the full-size ones online or at Beauty and Main if you like them, that's what I did.

Aimee: I had the same experience you did. After the survey I was taken to a page with the recommended products. I am crossing my fingers that I'll still get to try some of these fab products!
8I've done this - you get free samples that correspond with the type of skin you have, problem areas, etc. In addition, any time you order full-size items from the site, you get a goody bag filled with samples that are recommended for you. Great products! I particularly love the healing cream.

11I've been a customer of MB for a couple years now...They are great with samples, they send you most of the items that they recommend on that page after the survey. And whenever you place an order they send you more samples, gifts, travel sizes for free with your order.

For those who didn't get samples, my samples didn't automatically come. I got an email a few days later asking if I want samples. I had to click on the link and confirm my address and stuff. So if you give them a bogus email address, you might never get your samples.
Also, use up those samples fast! My orange tonic mask, face moisturizer, and honey almond scrub dried up in those little containers. I heard that sometimes happens with the big containers too, so as much as I love the orange tonic mask, I don't want to buy it and have it dry out on me!
13Yes, Scmeggiry is right...they send you an email with a list of the products they had recommended and ask you if you'd like any samples, have any questions, etc. I got an email from them probably two days after I completed the questionnaire.
And my samples also arrived fairly quickly.
The products are really wonderful...it's worth it.

22I have been buying from them ever since they sent me samples a few years ago. Their eye creams are the best! Recently, my oldest daughter's skin began to break out, but she still had dry areas.. classic combination skin problems. I got her the pimple drying lotion and they sent a ton of samples for combination skin with her order. She's a convert now, too

26I did not have a good experience with this company. I really wanted to try Mario Badescu products awhile back and tried to get samples through their website. One of their representatives did e-mail me back but said she wouldn't send me any samples and just gave me recommendations for products to buy. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed.
It seems like a big scam to me to get people's e-mail addresses and other personal information. I am now being bombarded with e-mails from Mario Badescu to buy their overpriced products, despite having unsubscribed from their list several times. Can you say spam? I prefer the brand DDF anyway. I'm sure it's way more effective than this celeb-touted crap.

31Sorry im posting late, Girls try this brand out!! My skin has never been clear(Acne-prone/oily), but two months ago,it was in the worst shape ever,it was extremely clogged,practically blackheads in each one on my pores(i wanted to die). Thank god i try this samples,i got the enzyme cleanser, the glycolic clenaser, oil free moisturer(haven't use it yet), eye cream and the drying cream. Once my samples were runing out, i filled another quiz under my boyfriend's name and adress and i got another run of samples
.Now after a few weeks of use these products, im going to place an order with them for sure.
Also, you can ask them for any product in specific that you want,it doesn't have to be in your recommended products. I did so and in a few days im getting samples of the drying mask and healing mask!!

36Just wanted to report that I filled out the survey the day Bella posted about this, clicked through the email they sent me a couple of days later asking if I wanted samples, and received my samples in the mail yesterday. I tried the drying mask last night, and it somehow actually made the giant, clogged pores that have plagued my nose for the past decade lessen significantly. We'll see how it goes trying out the rest of the products they sent...

40I tried it and got my samples last night! i got face wash, toner, moisturizer, day cream, face mask, face scrub, drying cream for zits and control cream for dry patches - all enough for a few uses. it took a couple of weeks, but it was worth it. the seaweed wash is great - i might be hooked, especially if their products aren't too expensive. thanks for the tip!
my only complaint would be that the survey didn't really let me pick my skin type, which is normal with occasional zits. i picked combination, but that's not really me. i'm not oily or dry or patchy (i know, i'm lucky and shouldn't complain, but...). but still, awesome deal!
