Last month, I told you all about Estée Lauder's new Bronze Goddess Makeup Collection. I dropped a little hint about the coconutty essence of the Bronze Goddess fragrance, but now that I've smelled it, I want to give you the whole scoop. At first whiff, it has a strong bitter orange aroma, but the heart of the fragrance is the smell of summertime.
Inside is a heavy dose of coconut, vetiver, myrrh, vanilla, mandarin, bergamot, lemon, tiare flower, jasmine, and magnolia. It's no wonder that the inspiration for the scent was a sunny, tropical beach. It seems like it would be overly sweet from the list of ingredients, but it also contains sandalwood, amber, and lavender which somehow balances the girliness with sexiness.
Since it's got such a wicked beachy vibe, Bronze Goddess really isn't suitable for any other season than Summer. But this is totally what you want to be wearing when you're on the beach with a special someone after the sun goes down.
The product range includes a 100ml bottle of eau fraiche ($49.50), a 100ml body oil ($29.50), and a 200ml luminous body lotion ($29.50). When you have the chance to try it out, come back and leave a comment so I know what you think.

I will sample it this weekend! I love the bottle. And I usually love beachy-smelling fragrances.
1I tried it a few weeks ago. I liked the initial scent - very coppertone suntan lotion, but after walking around in it for a couple hours it reminded me of a musky smell and I really didn't like it.
2I really want something like this though, maybe I should give it another shot.
I'm looking forward to this,
3i really like summery coco
scents, cant wait to try them
I have it and it smells great, but does not last long at all. Ask for a few samples instead of paying for the whole thing
4Coconut sounds so good right now...cant wait for summer
5I'm not usually a fan of overly-coconutty scents, but I might have to check this one out...
6I love the smell of coconut and sandalwood. I may have to try this stuff out!
7Beachy scents are great. Can't wait to smell this.
8Ready for the Summer!
9&& Ready to try this too!
ooh, yay! looks real nice, cant wait to get my hands on it!
10I need to check this out, those ingredients especially the coconut is right up my alley.
11According to the SAs at my EL counter, this is exactly the same fragrance as Tom Ford's Azuree from last summer. The only difference is the name, since Tom Ford is no longer associated with EL.
Just thought I'd put that out there
(That said, I have his Azuree and love it to
death, so I'll be getting this one to make sure I have enough of it!)
12Love it! Totally caught my 'nose,' as I went by the Estee counter at Macy's. It's super sexy and beachy without being overwhelming. Even super sensitive sniffer dear BF seems to think so.
13I just got the skin scent and I love it. I am going to get the oil and the lotion also, because I tried samples of all three together and layering really does make a difference with this line. After several hours wearing it I thought that the scent had faded, but my boyfriend said that it still smelled great. But, you really must use all three products together to get the full effect, and the scent also lasts way longer.
