Meet Alicia Douvall. She's a "glamour model" in England who's admitted to having more than 50 cosmetic surgery procedures. As it turns out, she's also the mother of a girl named Georgia, who's about to turn 13. And what does Georgia want for her birthday? Oh, you know, the usual teenagery things: an iPhone, Kate Moss' perfume, and a boob job.
Yes, you read that right. Georgia, whose career ambition is to become a lingerie model, is hoping for breast augmentation. Fortunately, Alicia is a sane mother, and she's said no to the boob job. Well, at least until Georgia turns 16, that is. "I think a 16-year-old with a nice, sexy figure will do really well as a model as long as she's managed well," she said. "That's why I'm happy for Georgia to have a boob job because it will give her a career. She's been at a modelling agency since she was about six. She'll be more famous than Britney!"
All of these outrageous statements seem like a pretty good ploy for media coverage, but it's still disturbing. When eight-year-old girls are getting bikini waxes, you have to wonder what kind of messages parents are sending to girls. And maybe Georgia puts it best: "I think my mum looks good," she remarked. "Because of her, I think it's normal to have surgery if something's not quite right." But is this new normal even remotely healthy for girls?

2that girl is beautiful, it is so sad to think that there are things in this world that make her not see that. i would like to believe there is another side to the argument, but it's hard for me to wrap my head around.

5i just think it's interesting that even after 50 cosmetic procedures, you can still see the family resemblance between mother and daughter. maybe most of her surgeries are neck-down? at least she doesn't look like Naomi Judd or Priscilla Presley- they look nothing like themselves (or their offspring)
6That is beyond ridiculous. My hope is that a doctor will refuse to touch her until she is at least 18. I had my boobs reduced and the doctor would not do it until I was 18 because you are still growing. It's so unfortunate girls are growing up wanting to change themselves for reasons outside themselves.
7At 16 you're still growing. That is pretty sick and it's sad that her Mom would allow it. Hopefully the Dr. will refuse to do it although it's doubtful because a Dr. shouldn't have given the mother 50 surgeries either.

25All those surgeries have aged the mother. She looks pretty haggard for 28. Her facial features are way too strong. Pencil thin eyebrows w/ a....what kinda nose is that and she paid for it?...and the lips...she could suck a trailer hitch off a truck w/ those puppies. The daughter should take a good look at mom and use that as a template of what not to aspire to. And, I concur w/ the other posters she has NO business entertaining breast implants until she is over 21. The mother is doing a smash up job creating body image issues for her tween daughter. 27It's no wonder there are so many women with terrible body images/self esteem. It all starts with how you were raised. It's sad to see that girls at 13 (or even younger) are so obsessed with their body image that they are totally missing out on the innocence of youth. I wonder how many surgeries the daughter will have to correct what's "not quite right".

I don't even know whether I should bother saying anything more about what's wrong with how females are growing up this society. And the mother's only 28? I guess that's why people say plastic surgery doesn't make you look younger. It just makes you look like you got plastic surgery. I hate when people screw up their appearance with plastic surgery and I hate that plastic surgeons don't say know to people who either look weirder and weirder when they get more surgery or are too young. A 16 year old doesn't need a boob job. A 13 year old even less and seeing that a 13 yr. old thinks it would be normal for her to get that disturbs me a lot.

36I'm glad that there are still so many people that find this revolting. I hope at least half of you want to reproduce so their generation has a chance. It seems that this is more & more prevalent today. I would be surprised if Georgia did anything great for the world.
37Alicia Douvall is known in the UK for bedding footballers and doing 'kiss & tells' with the tabloids. I remember reading a story about her earlier this year; she was arrested outside a London club (incidentally she was wearing a thigh-skimming dress with no knickers) after drunkenly hitting a passer by in the face for no apparent reason! So she is a poor role model to her daughter in more ways than one!

The mother needs some serious pyschological counseling and the child does as well. Her mind is already poisoned. Her self esteem issues will be enormous. Can you imagine what the poor thing will have to go through trying to have ANY kind of a healthy relationship with a partner?

43A females body usuallye changed from 10-22. These are the most important times for nutrition as well do to growth and adjustments. Not until (if ever) probaby 25 should someone consider any work. Especially a boob job! ..very unnessecary to carry around extra weight.
