I'm looking forward to seeing Iron Man so much that I can't stop humming the song of the same name. The film stars Robert Downey, Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow — who happens to be a model for Estee Lauder. Here's a sneak peek at her character in the film, along with the 411 on the makeup products that were used on set to create this classic daytime look. When you head to the theater on May 2, you'll feel like you can connect with her character Virginia "Pepper" Potts, since you'll know about everything that's been used on her skin. (At least that's how I feel.)
For a detailed list of products and prices used to create her classic look, read more.
- FACE: Start with a clean face. Then add a little bit of Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup ($32.50) to your face and neck and blend well with a sponge.
- CHEEKS: Apply some Tender Blush in Fresh Plum ($25) to the apples of your cheeks and blend outward using circular motions to create a soft glowy effect.
- EYES: Apply the lightest shade of the Signature Eyeshadow Duo in Pink Dusk ($25) all over your lid and use the darker color in the crease. Then, create a thick line your top lashes only with Artist’s Eye Pencil in SoftSmudge Black ($18.50). Finish off the look with two coats of Double Wear Mascara in Black ($19.50).
- LIPS: Lightly line the rims of your lips with Estee Lauder’s Automatic Lip Pencil Duo in Fig ($23.50). Then, gently fill them in to slightly enhance the color. Using a lip brush, blend some Signature Hydra Lustre Lipstick in Plum Frost ($19.50) over the liner and finish with High Gloss in Rose ($16) for a sexy, pale purple pout.

she actally looks really pretty here!
1She looks real pretty here.
2She looks really good there!
3I'd love to re-create that look, I just don't have the right coloring for it, the tips are great though!
I like her look here. She's always very casual with her "barely there" makeup.
4I really like this look. It's a good interview look. The red hair suits her. What I want to know now is how to do her hair and where that suit is from!
5I couldn't rock it... not the right coloring
6Ok, it must be my computer screen because to me, she looks like a pastel, washed out mess! Her hair is a badly-needs-a-touchup light orange shade of cotton candy and her lips are lavender! I'm obviously the only one who hates this look but man, is it awful!
7Very nice...
8I am hating the lips but the rest is nice.
9AllaWallaBalla, I'm with you! It makes her look ultra-pale. The hair looks brassy to me, and the lipstick is nonexistent.
10Wow, I love that hair color on her!
11I just think her face is so pretty. No matter what is on it!
12I think her face is too red for the red hair. She needs a more yellow based foundation/concealer to take the red out and let her hair stand out.
13Honestly, I don't think the look is very fitting for her coloring. I hate her washed out red hair and those lavendar lips are pretty nast. Maybe it'd look great on someone else, such as Isla Fisher, but I'm not digging the look on le Paltrow.
14I love the subtle smokey eye.
