I'm a hand cream junkie, so it is with great pleasure and conviction that I present my top five favorites to you. Over the past year, I've tested many a cream in search of my favorite, and I have two. The first is June Jacobs Green Tea and Cucumber Hand Cream ($46) because of its quick rate of absorbency, non-greasy feeling and soothing scent.
The second is L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream ($25) because of its rich, thick texture and unparalleled soothing results. If there's one thing I've learned from my experiences, it's that the key to a good hand cream is shea butter, and the higher the content, the better. Below are three runners-up that I use regularly to soothe dry, chapped hands. What's your all-time favorite hand cream?

- Kiehl's Unusually Rich — But Not Greasy At All — Hand Cream with SPF 10 ($15.50) takes the cake when it comes to consistency since it's not too thick and not too runny. It's also not greasy whatsoever and it's a great sports cream since it contains SPF 10.
- Liz Earle Hand Repair ($28.50) smells like heaven and works wonders on dry cuticles. A little goes a long way, and there's also a travel tube available for $8.
- Yu-Be Cream ($15) is a high quality Japanese yellow-tinted hand cream that moisturizes on a healing level. I highly recommend this fast-absorbing lotion — if you can handle the strong camphor scent.

I have to say I love my Vaseline Intensive Care for my hands.
1Wow Bella. I am surprised, there are so many other options that are great and not quite so pricey. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Avon Anew Ultimate transforming hand and nail cream - and has spf/fps 15.
Plus I love Bliss high intensity hand cream too.
2I recommend Lush's Helping Hands. It does feel a bit greasy for the first minute or so, but then it sinks into your skin and makes it so soft.
3I agree with MindayH, there are a lot of inexpensive options out there that are just as good as the more expensive choices. I used L'Occitane for a long time but with this economy I've switched over to Eucerin and it really is great stuff.
4I bought the L'Occitane one last month and absolutely love it!
5L'Occitane- so luscious!
But, drugstore brands work just as well for me.
Expensive hand cream is a nice,
occasional splurge.
6Hey Bella, the hand creams from
7Bath and Body Work are great, they
really work, my favorite is the one
that smell like lemon and coco.
I need that Kiehl's one!
Right now, I'm using this lemon-sugar scented hand cream from Target...smells pretty fab.
8ahh i have the L'Occitane one, and i'm using it right now! i have no complaints, except for the smell kind of reminds me of babies...
9Barielle Professional Hand Cream ($15)

Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Skin Therapy Lotion ($10)
I use L'Occitane's every night and would like to try Kiehl's for daytime. I wish you could get the June Jacob's one at Sephora, I'd like to smell it first before buying.
11Eucerin and Aveeno have always been my choice especially since Aveeno has SPF in it now. There are much better and inexpensive ones out there. These are a splurge!
12I would also recommend "look ma, new hands" with paraffin. I get it at Bath and Body Works.
13I really like Lollia hand cream, they have some great scents and they are very soothing.
14I am a hardcore L'Occitane Shea Butter fan. Doesn't leave my hands greasy and it makes them feel so soft.
15The Keri hand cream at the drugstore is great and reasonably priced.
16My favorites are:
- Kai Body Cream
17- C.O Bigelow Almond Hand Lotion
- Philosophy Lemonade Hand Cream
- Lubriderm Skin Therapy for Dry, Sensitive Skin
I'm a hand-cream junkie too, after having been on Roaccutane years ago; my hands have never been the same again!
18I'm going to go and get the L'Occitane one now on everybody's recommendations.
I have always tried different things but come back to the good old Neutrogena Norwegian Formula. I've just tried their Anti-Ageing formula - at 26, I have super-wrinkly hands - but it's not as good as the classic formula. I love it because it actually works, is non-greasy and doesn't smell like anything in particular, and is cheap enough for constant (every hour, at a minimum) re-application =)
jadoremondieu, i'm a faithful Neutrogena fan too, i use their Anti-Ageing one on the summer, because of the sun protection, my hands really get burnt by the sun. but because the original formula lasts ages i keep one at my desk, one in my bag and another at home. i also have Crabtree and Evelyn La Source but use it occasionally as it is too scented for my liking.
19I have been a faithful Aveda Hand Relief user.
20i use the loccitane one. ive had mine for awhile but im not big on the hand cream after winter is over.
21I've got the L'Occitane one and I love it. A little pricey but it lasts forever.
22It's not really hand cream, but I love Palmer's Cocoa Butter Concentrated Cream - so smooth and smells so yummy!
23I like Sally Hansen AGE CORRECT w/RETINOL - it's a good handcream for overnight - smells good with grapeseed oil - not to greasy - and affordable. I love shea butter products for hands - but they are so expensive it's hard to use them every night...
24I love Aveda Hand Relief, even though it is ridiculously overpriced. It's still the best hand cream I've ever used. At home, I just use my regular body lotion for my hands.
25Very nice site!
