I'm usually not one to insult a product outright, but the new limited-edition Victoria's Secret Heavenly Kiss Eau de Parfum ($49) gets two thumbs down. I polled friends, neighbors, and family, and their reactions all included underwhelming words such as "ick, gross, too sweet, too strong, and really sugary."
I'd love to be able to defend the fragrance and explain that it's more than just sugar water, but as it turns out, it contains marshmallow and toffee notes. Has there ever been a time in your life that you've craved smelling like a candy store? I haven't.
The other notes in the scent are also edible ingredients coupled with sweet flowers. Among them are watermelon, red currant, berry, vanilla, freesia, guava, apricot, woods, musk, and jasmine. I'd be a little nervous wearing this in the dead of Summer knowing that I could be attacked by a swarm of wasps at any moment.
All kidding aside, I can't completely throw it under the bus. Because I like this brand, I've been able to find a few redeeming qualities, like the hopelessly romantic name and the gradated pink glass bottle. The packaging is cutesy too. It comes in a white box with a pink label and the word "kiss" written in varying fonts in gold lettering all over. Have you tried Heavenly Kiss? If so, I'd be interested in hearing what you think.

Very Sexy Now, our other new fragrance, is the one to buy!!! I am obliged to keep my comments positive because I am an employee...but I will say I did buy the Very Sexy Now and I wear it daily, I love it soo much!
1...by the way, Heavenly Kiss was actually designed to be worn over heavenly lotion...it smells so much better when paired!
2I actually don't hate Heavenly Kiss, but I'm a major VS fan AND I like very sweet smells - I wear Mood: Sweet Craving quite frequently, and it's similarly overwhelmingly sweet.
It's not the best VS fragrance ever, I'll say that much. I prefer Pink and Supermodel, by far. But I think Heavenly Kiss isn't a bad summer fragrance, although it's perhaps better suited to a younger set...
3I actually have the body mist and everywhere I go people love it. It is a bit sweet but I love it, not as much as Pink but I do like it.
4From what you've explained it reminds me of something that I would have worn in Jr. High. I've never smelled it though, so I can't really knock it.
5Well, I got it the moment it was released and everyone asks me every time I wear it what I am wearing. We all love it, but of course Heavenly has always been my most favorite perfume. No one I know has ever said that it was too sweet, I am not a super sweet type of person, but this is just my opinion!
6I really don't like any of their fragrances, so I probably would never have tried this anyway, but now I DEFINITELY won't be!
7i dont like the majority of their fragrances (with the exception of so sexy) it reminds me of this girl i used to work with who would go out all night, go to bed, wake up for work and drown herself in victorias secret something and go to work. notice how the word shower was not in anything of that.
8Have not tried it yet. Was thinking of doing so as I love Heavenly. But I'm over sweet, cotton candy scents, so I don't think I'll be trying this. Unless of course, they have samples. That's how I discovered Heavenly - through the free mini-bottles they gave out. I wish that bottle had an opening so I could have decanted my large Heavenly bottle into it! It was just the right amount of spritz!!! Read: SMALL. =)

12i got the heavenly kiss lotion and body spray as a gift once the smell made me nauseous. yuck.
actually, all of the vs perfumes make me nauseous. i wonder if its a specific note that they use in their perfumes?
13Woo! Very Sexy Now is a great limited edition fragrance. I'm really geeked about it because I'm so sensitive, that I can't wear all that much. I'm allergic to Heavenly Kiss, but Very Sexy Now is where it's at!

15I don't mess around much with the VS perfumes. But the last time I went, one of the girls that works there said that Heavenly Kiss is a layering scent. Alone, it smelt gross..but paired with one of the other Heavenly perfumes, it smelt pretty good.
I use to wear Very Sexy..I'm going to have to test out the new one.
16First let me just say, I think janellethechef and others who completely put V.Secret fragrances down were out of line and unfair. I think V.Secret makes some really good fragrances i.e. Pink, the Dream Angels line, the Garden line, and the latest Beauty Rush line. And it's wrong to imply that their fragrances are for sluts. They do a good job of producing products to make a woman feel sexy. With that said, their new Heavenly Kiss scent does sound over-the-top sweet. A hint of sweetness is fine, but noone wants cloyingly sweet. My fave V.Secret scent: Pink!
17the perfumer is very good and sweet it is the nicely blend to make it sexy
