Last night, beauty editors, celebrities, and cosmetics executives gathered in New York to celebrate the FiFi awards. It's often called the Oscars of the fragrance industry, which says as much about its prestige as it does about who's honored. It's rare to see small perfumes win Fragrance of the Year; instead, the Fragrance Foundation gives awards to scents with broader distribution. (So in that case, it really is like the Oscars!)
The women's fragrances of the year are Daisy Marc Jacobs, Intimately Beckham Women, Prada Infusion d'Iris, and Christian Lacroix Rouge (created with Avon). Do you think these perfumes deserved the honors? I personally can't understand the wild popularity of Daisy Marc Jacobs — it just doesn't do anything for me — but it looks like this scent is just getting bigger and bigger.

It took me a while to like Daisy, just because I'm used to more spicy scents, but I caved and bought it. I love it now, but it doesn't match up to my other favorite fragrances.
1I'm not a fan of Daisy, either. Prada is the only other fragrance on the list that I've smelled and it's just okay for me.
2I'm typically a big Marc Jacobs fan, but I really hated Daisy when I smelled it. And even if I hadn't, the packaging just isn't my style. I personally looove the Prada Infusion D'Iris though and want to get my hands on it...
3Daisy smells like a dusty field of weeds to me. I really like the Prada one though! I have never smelled the other two, but I wouldn't pick up the Beckham one even if I came across it.
4I like Daisy. I'm a bigger fan of Marc Jacobs other fragrances, but Daisy isn't bad.
5I LOVE Daisy...it's my favorite perfume that I've ever owned. I get so many compliments on it when I wear it too. It's my perfect fragrance.
I'm glad it won an award, it definitely deserves it!
6I don't like the Christian Lacrouix Rouge with Avon. I t makes me sick to my stomach!
7I love Daisy, it's probably my favorite fragrance. But I'll admit I didn't like it the first time I smelled it.
8i'm a fan of viktor & rolf's flowerbomb, myself.
9I have the AVON one, i've been using it since Feb. but i'm ready to move on. I can't even smell it on me anymore. I'm excited to try out some of the new Summer fragrances i've been hearing about. Any suggestions anyone?
10wOw!! That's a nice
11surprise for AVON...
i really dont like
the scent, but very
interesting that they
won an award
Hey Bella -- I saw that book you mentioned on perfumes (the title escapes me) and thumbed through it at B&N. It's a little pricey to buy right now, but it's a great book!

13It feels like sacreligious or something because I LOVE Marc Jacobs fashion, but Daisy is not awesome... And I would be an easy sell! Also, I really hate the bottle's design.
14I love Daisy. I have a really hard time finding perfumes, and definitely don't usually go for flowery ones, but Daisy just works for me.
15I haven't smelled all those awarded perfume yet, but will definitely go try it out... I love both fragrance from Chance; Chanel fragrance does last longer than other brands on the market as far as I am concerned.
16I find that those are all boring... The rouge has the most personality. What is up with perfume these days? It's like basic water with fruit in it..
17I love Daisy; it's my everyday perfume. But the Prada one is amazing too!
18The first time i smelled Daisy i fell in loev.
19I wear Intimately Beckham for Women everyday! It's a great fragrance!
20Daisy by Marc Jacobs is on my birthday list. I want it!
21I love Marc but actually haven't had a wiff of Daisy. When mass amounts of people are into a fragrance I tend to sort of go against the grain.
22I too have to agree..I just don't get the fuss over Daisy. Then again I'm more of a clean fragrance gal...Philosophy Pure Grace. Also liking right now: Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue and Sugar's Lemon and Sugar (which is a super sweet smell, just use a weeeee bit of it)
23My boyfriend bought Daisy for me for Valentines's Day and I adore it although at first it didn't strike my fancy.
24all of marc jacobs perfumes are a disapointment.
25the avon one that christian Lacroix did is soo gorgeous. just a shame its not very long lasting.
Daisy STINKS!!!! I demand a recount! Its strawberry accent annoys me like no other. I've never got to fascination with it and never will. I know that daisies don't have a scent, but if they did, I'd hope they didn't smell like his concoction.
