After looking at dozens of photographs, I've found one thing's for certain: Cate Blanchett has always been a blonde. Sure, she's dabbled with toffee and strawberry low-lights over the years, but the fair-skinned actress prefers her hair light. Cate's been on the press circuit these past few weeks promoting her new film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. We've seen her go from very pale to bright and brassy, and the picture on the far left is from a few years ago when her hair was at its darkest. Which shade of blonde do you think looks the classiest on Cate?

The light brown makes her eyes pop and skin look amazing...all the other hair colors , while pretty...tend to fade her out.

16Thank you j2e1n9! I don't see what people see in her beauty-wise either. She is a decent enough actress, but I always thought she looked YEARS older than she really is... like close to mid-40's.

Yes, she's not born with amazingly beautiful features but she (or her makeup artist/hair stylist) knows what works for her and sticks to it. And the result is a perpetually polished, well-groomed and classy look.
