Victoria Beckham and her sexy husband are putting their finishing touches on a fancy-pants new fragrance range called Signature for Her and Signature for Him. Posh is determined to let the world know that she's more than a famous wife and an ex-pop star. She told WWD:
"I am not just a famous person who is putting my name on different things and doing licensing deals all over the place. Everything I do is true to myself. With the fragrances, I designed the bottles, I go to the factory, I worked on the fragrances. I'm really the creator behind the project. You're getting a piece of David and me with this."
I'm still waiting to come get the V-type from Victoria's makeup range, but it's clear that Victoria (who's also working on a high-end clothing line) has big, luxurious plans. Tell me, would you be interested in buying the Eau de Beckham (which is priced at $62-$52 for her and $60-$50 for him) once it hits department stores in September? Do you think she's being savvy to aim high, or is she reaching for too much?

Mulberry
In the UK, VB scent is sold alongside Jordan's in superdrug. I am not sure if her new 'prestige' one will be also, but I think the former says it all.
I voted yes, but isn't she doing what every other "Celeb" (if you wanna call them that) is doing, putting their name on everything hoping the public will give them their hard earned $?
I don't really find her all that posh. I do appreciate though that she dresses however she wants, even if her taste isn't exactly anything like mine. If I bought any perfume by someone famous, it wouldn't be hers. The people whose perfume I would actually buy probably wouldn't come out with one, but really I stick to actual perfume brands anyway.
I don't think she should be limited by being "a former pop star" since I never thought of her as a singer to start with
It's her brand, and she is Posh
Eh... I just have this massive ambivalence when it comes to most celebrities and their products... All I know is that I won't be wearing her perfume.
i love her and i like that she just doesnt say ok put my name on it she actually goes and puts effort into in..she said she did the same thing with her jean line she went out and helped find the type of denim that she wanted to use!
i think its a bit sad that what ever she does people feel they have to criticize, or question her motives, she is not a back seat driver she obviously wants to make her own living and work, she could easily do nothing for the rest of her life, but every year since the Spice Girls she has done a new project, minus the weight issue i think she is a huge inspiration for modern day girls/ mums, anyone and it is sad she isn't seen in the right, positive light.
She irritates me.
#2.
She needs to get over herself
She buys wildly expensive clothes and goes to hip places - that doesn't make her a fashion trailblazer, it suggests she's still following. I could go to a factory too, that doesn't mean I know the first thing about creating a perfume. She needs to be put in a lab and told to come up with a perfume by herself, then she can call herself a creator. Otherwise, she's a celebrity who's name in on the bottle.
What is wrong with me? I am not irritated by her. I like her style and don't expect much in terms of talent. As for her fragrance, well, I have scents that I love, like Flower Bomb, Agent Provacateur, Antonia's Flowers, and more. (Yes, I am a perfume junkie.) Maybe a Posh sample will come my way/
IDK, it really depends on how good the scent ends up being and if she uses high quality ingredients. I'm not into buying celebrity perfumes though, so i'm not going to be wearing it.
It seems so greedy on the part of the celebrity to create low quality perfumes, makeup, etc. to further line their pockets. Isn't a $1+ million per year income enough? Oh, and Posh, you will always be Posh Spice to me. I just can't take someone who was in a pop group and today inspired a popular haircut among sorority sisters seriously.
I refuse to even think about trying anything from a woman that has never cracked a smile, ever.
sorry trying hard ladyyy
I think its great- and she does all the work herself. Unlike other celebrities who just stick their name on the bottle. Think Britney's believe perfume. Yeah, I really didnt believe!
I totally agree hills. She wants to aim high and why not? she's trying to build a career in the business so she's aiming for the best. Go for it all the best to her.
I didn't really like the first fragrence i hope this new one is better.
meh..
good luck to Victoria! everyone needs a job in their life!
Does anyone think like me that she looks like a blow up doll? She is all leathery look and her face looks like it is going to rip off her frame. I don't know, but I do no like her. Well, that's my opinion.
I think it's great that she is involved in developing her lines and isn't just putting her name and face with something to make more money.
trying hard to be famous........
blecch! who cares -- like any celebrity has any real perfumerie experience of note or or as if i need to buy their tawdry wares. i'll buy my perfume from the pros thanks and let ms. blecchman return to her profession....what was that again? oh and anyone who thinks $50 is 'posh' for perfume has been living in under a rock and must prefer the 'mossy' scents.
your right fauxmmccoy......
No thanks, i 'll get my perfume from tried and true professionals.
I agree with hills; I think she genuinely puts a lot of effort and consideration into the products -- and even though I am unsure of how successful she will be, I think she deserves some respect for the hard work.
