I just don't get it. She has such a beautiful skin tone, is obviously a gorgeous girl, why has her hair been so barbie-tastic since starting ANTM? I'm not trying to just compare black models, but Naomi Campbell usually rocks a more natural, darker look, and it looks so much better. And it's not just Naomi Campbell, I'm trying to picture Giselle with this hair also...lol. I can't even remember what Tyra looks like with more natural hair!

I thing the sad thing here is not the hair, but that everyone on this opinion board has been a female and we are collectively here to bash another female. Tyra Banks may have had extreme fashion and hair but that's not what you should love or hate. She sends a message to other women that women can be strong and any race and any weight and body shape and still be sexy. She sends a positive message about race and opportunity so that any girl in the country can be inspired and feel like she could be more than she started out. That's Tyra Banks. Not her hair or her makeup or her clothes (which she usually doesn't do bad on either).

maryamyumyum: i haven't noticed many people bashing her...if anything, they are criticizing this hairstyle and offering that she looks gorgeous with a more natural look, which i don't think is a particularly offensive opinion to express. not saying tyra isn't a positive role model, but she is a pretty prominent fashion/celebrity figure, so why is it so wrong to talk about her extreme hair in a fairly even-keeled manner? she's not a freaking politician or something, she IS a former model..most people are offering constructive criticism here, not blind hatred, lol. (IMO she looks better with dark hair and waaaay less makeup, but that's just me)

I like it as is. Hell, I wish I knew who did her weave, cos it almost always looks damn good [and real!]. And her brows? Perfection.

Like the style a lot in terms of shape, and length, but I do not like it this blonde on her at all.

Its unnatural, and I think makes her hair look dull and dry, especially near the roots.

Saying that, in general I like her makeup, her skin looks fantastic, she has great shoulders...her smile does seem a bit forced, but isn't entirely fake.

Just cover her mouth and look at the eyes, there is "some" smile there but perhaps she is preoccupied.

As models and role models go, people could do way worse than Tyra.

I think I'd like the style better if she used her natural hair color. Maybe the lack of smile in her eyes is because she wants to have the head of the stylist who did her hair. Tyra usually has such expressive eyes, but in the photo they look a bit vacant.
