I'm a skeptic when it comes to ingesting beauty-related supplements. I've tried the Phytophanere Dietary Supplements For Hair & Nails, which were supposed to make my nails and hair grow faster and stronger, but instead they gave me nothing but blemishes. So when I learned about this Antioxidant Water Booster ($35) from Dr. Brandt, I sort of dismissed the product altogether.
However, lately I've been reading lots of positive reviews about the blueberry flavor, so I decided to give it a go. Supposedly, the antioxidant content in one dose is the same as you'd find in 15 cups of home-brewed green tea.
My guess it that it's getting attention because there has been so much written about the powerful effects of antioxidants lately. They help protect your cells from free radical damage, keep your organs healthy, and they may even contribute to fighting cancer and heart disease.
As it turns out, the Water Booster is indeed delicious. I did a taste test to see what I was getting into before I drank the full glass of water. It's flavorful and sweet, but it doesn't contain any calories or even one iota of caffeine or sugar.
Each bottle (there are five different kinds) contains enough for 60 servings. All you have to do is shake it, add one dropper to eight ounces of water, mix, and chug. I've only had three cups and I don't notice a difference in my skin, but as the saying goes, you look better if you feel better. Knowing that I am doing something good for my body definitely makes me feel better, too.

I'm obsessed with antioxidants. I'm going to have to try this!
1I'll just eat the blueberries.
2What's with the reviews on here? How can so many products be given high ratings when they've only been tested a few times? In this case, three glasses of water with a liquid supplement added hardly constitutes an accurate review. It can be interesting to learn about different products but it's not reliable. (I know this doesn't apply to all of the reviews.)
I'm with AmberHoney. No matter what kind of extraction and derivations we use, nothing beats the real thing for health.
3I got this as a free sample from Sephora. It didn't taste that great, but I guess it's worth it if it's good for you. I wouldn't pay $35 for it though, I'm glad mine was free.
4I bought the pomegranate flavor because they were out of blueberry. The first few days, it made my head feel like it would explode, which my herbalist friend said was due to the elderberry increasing circulation. I can't really tell if it makes a difference, but the mail room clerk at my office no longer tells me I look tired.
5I wouldn't buy this, too expensive.
6I have the pomegranate flavor and I don't like the way it makes my water taste...I literally cringe as I'm drinking it. Not sure I'd try the blueberry one...
7I'M A SLAVE TO THIS PRODUCT! IT'S GREAT. I'VE USED DR. BRANDT'S WATER BOOSTERS FOR LIKE 2 YEARS NOW. I CAN'T GET ENOUGH! THIS AND THE KINERASE VITAMINS. LOVE IT!
8i've bought the pomegranate flavor twice, and i loved it. i think it tastes great. i'm not sure that it made me look different at all, but i figure consuming antioxidants might be a pays-off-in-the-long-run kind of thing.
9I really like this! I usually put it in tea but it's also good in plain or vanilla yogurt. Yum!
10"I'll just eat the blueberries."
I might actually be likely to try it out but I also prefer actual berries. I love berries anyway especially blue and raspberries. Same goes for pomengranate.
11I'm not sure you can bottle the benefits of real food. There's something about eating the entire blueberry, pomegranate, goji berry, et al. that you can't just extract and expect the same benefits...
12wouldn't this review have been more useful if you'd reviewed it after trying it for a longer period, and waited for results?
13I actually love this stuff because there is now way I'm going to drink 15 cups of green tea. On a side note, I have heard a lot of people say this really speeds up their metabolism. I have heard the company that makes this for Dr.Brandt actually makes their own kind that is super similar, but a lot less exspensive.
14I couldn't really believe that this is going to do anything for me. It just doesn't seem right. I'd rather eat my antioxidants. All berries are delicious as is tea.
15I love blueberries and I love tea - so this sounds great...
