Wowsers. The prices of designer handbags are really starting to get out of control. New from Louis Vuitton is this limited edition (and I mean limited - there are only four available in the US) "Tribute Bag."
It is a mish-mosh of styles and patterns of 15 LV bags of past generations sewn together to create a patchwork design. Last month during Paris Fashion Week it was deemed a "Frankenstein Monster." Ouch.
Brace yourself if you are even the slightest bit intrigued because this controversial purse has a shocking price-tag of $42,000!
I have to say it: this bag ain't even all that! It is confusing, and I know that this statement may be in poor taste, but it kind of makes me wonder if Marc Jacobs was relapsing when he designed this.
It looks like something Mary-Kate Olsen would wear when she's dressed in her granny clothes. Sorry, we're not loving it in the least, what do you all think?!

8omg, i literally jumped back in my seat when i saw that monstrosity of a purse. GROSS! it really caused a visceral reaction of horror and disgust when i saw it.

13These designers certainly know how to get easy money. Make a hideous looking, hideously overpriced bag limited edition so people with more money than sense and style (eg Paris Hilton) think that they're getting some sort of bargain.

Much like this bag- scraps from "dead" trends, all mushed together to create something so hideous it leaves people speechless......

48Keep in mind that fashion, especially for such high-end designers is essentially an art form. Designing a "conventional" or "accepted" purse is something these designers could do without much effort. What separates the caliber of a great and mediocre designer is their ability to come up with a design that's truly unique. Additionally, considering only four purses have been made, the purses aren't made to appeal to societally conventional 'norm.' You can not observe a Picasso and say it's 'hideous' simply because the artwork does not conform to the conservative definition of 'artwork.'
