If glitter and shine are your things, you must try MAC's latest gloss launch, Dazzleglass ($16.50). Since coming on the scene last month, it's already sold out online, but makeup counters still have stock left. This stuff is the shiniest, most glimmering gloss I've ever tried. We're not talking shimmer, we're talking full-on Danceteria sparkles. That may or may not be your thing — it's probably not something I'll wear every day — but Dazzleglass is notable for its utter lack of subtlety. Tons of fun.
The shade shown here is Glamour O.D., which MAC calls a bright coral red. (Looks more pinkish to me, but tomato tomahto.) This is such a flirty color, and if you look closely, you can see the iridescent pearly pigments in the gloss. Less versatile, however, is the Comet Blue color, which is a pale shade of, well, blue. Think it can still look OK? Find out and see pictures when you read more.
On its own, Comet Blue creates a deathly pallor — and the Laura Palmer look is not for me. So I decided to experiment. When layered on top of Estee Lauder lipstick ($19.50) in Rich Red, this blue gloss is much better. (In fact, if you wanted to do a kitschy Independence Day lip, this would be a firecracker of a look.) It works best on cool-toned skin, but even then, I'm not crazy about the final look. As it turns out, a little razzle-dazzle goes a long way.

I tried to buy some Dazzleglass online when MAC was having the friends and family discount thing. Unfortunately they were sold out then too. I'm definitely going to have to pick some up, I love the Glamor OD color.
1I love these. The MAC MA tried to steer me away from them because she warned I'd fall in love with them, and I'd be mad because they're limited edition, but I still bought a few and, yes, fell in love.
2A little birdy told me that they'll be back around the holidays, so your love affair can continue on!
3I'm not a glitter person, but even I have been tempted by the Dazzleglass display at my local MAC...
4Bella,
Did you wear anything with Glamour O.D. in the first pic? Or is that the shade on its own?
It looks really great on you!
5Oooooh, good to know, Bella! Thank you! MAC is seriously on a mission to rob me of all of my hard-earned money...I caught a glimpse of their fall Cherry collection on another website and as someone who's obsessed with cherries/reds in general it's going to be VERY hard to resist...
6Klovie, that's just my nekkid lip with the gloss. Meow-meow!
7I'm actually very fond of Comet Blue (especially over pink lippies or mixed with a little of Chanel's Astral glossimer) but I think I use a lot less than you did in that picture!
8lol bella u pretty
you have a little bit of lettuce next to
your front tooth
9Not too fond of that much glitter, esp when the gloss wears off and all you're left with is glitter stuck to your lips.. but I love MAC glosses so I'm definitely gonna try these.
10Too much glitter for me, I really don't care for glitter in my lip gloss. And I find MAC glosses to be far too sticky for my liking. I'll pass.
11Give me some glitter then add a little more shimmer.
12i really like
13this types of
glosses with a
very natural face
they make your
lips pop-up.....
The Dazzleglasses are not limited edition (they were for a while, but MAC made them perm!). Woohoo!
Now only if they could do the same for the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator...
14Ugh, I just don't like lipgloss very much...either way, these look very nice
15first one looks purrrrty. i like MAC lip glosses.
16I wish I could say that I'm going to buy one, but the colours aren't too flattering on me.
17Even if that purple lilac colour is yummy.
Just saying "Dazzleglass!" makes me want to do jazz hands.
18i love the dazzleglass glosses! okay, well, all lip glosses in general as my purse will attest to. i think the glittery-ness is beautiful and while not perfect for every occasion, it's definitely something i will purchase again when i have more money.
19I like the first one, very pretty.
20*~*These really are gorgeous!!! If any of you can still find them I def. recommend Sugarrimmed, Bare Necessity, & Glamour O.D (of course!!)!!!
*~*
21yeah, I agree with BuzzSugar - I just like saying the name...
22what girl doesn't love sparkly lip gloss - it's like asking a guy what he thinks about foot ball or beer or chics (I know, that's totally sexist and stereotypical - but true!)...
23Gosh, I want that pink color so bad!!
24I like shimmers and sparkles. I feel a little bit childish liking them, but I can't seem to help it.
25I think anything would look great on those lips.
I will check some of these out, but I must admit that this summer I sorta like the L'Oreal Infallible lip gloss in (I am pretty sure)Petal, It stays on and has a great colour and shimmer. I apply just a wash of Benetint, then the gloss on top.
I love gloss and have way, way too many of them.
26This would look really good for the going out with the girls to go dancing. I love a little sparkly lipgloss for nite time. It's a good way to accentuate your mouth without going full on red.
27i agree with give me some sparkle and add a little more....I love a lot of sparkle, shimmer, whatever!!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD MAC DID THIS! WHAT I NEED NOW IS A PLUSHDAZZLEGLASS!!!! For now, I'll mix! LOVE IT!!!! The blue glosses are good because they give a whitening effect to your teeth!
What's better than that? Ultimate dazzle and pearly whites!
28The first picture looks pretty but I can tell it's very sticky and the second picture is a mess.
