Never one for subtlety, Jean-Paul Gaultier made the haute couture styles at Armani and Dior look positively Pollyanna-ish in comparison to his show. Models wore orange tape under their bangs, while some sported elaborate spiraling updos. Obviously these are fantasy-fashion styles, but as far as over-the-top looks go, do you like this? Or is it still too much?

my head just hurts
1seeing this large
bun...
INSPIRATION....marge simpson??? :S
2That is why they are called shows, even though I don't love the bangs, haute couture designs are there to be watched not to be imitated on everyday life.
3OUCH! She must have had a wicked headache after this!
4it looks dorky.
5Ummm can we PLEASE discuss the eyebrows?
6Discuss away!
7I actually like the orange underneath the bangs. It's so bright and cold — and refreshingly futuristic.
orange goes where
8ewwww.....!!
9Hate the bangs
10unique for sure but not my taste
11I like how extraordinary, not your-typical-runway-hair this is! I can only imagine the hours it took to create the architectural foundation (likely out of wire) and then weave hair into/onto it to create the appearance of a the super high bun. It's refreshing to see something other than tousled waves or a ponytail.
12i love it!
13It's a couture show, eccentric, artistic and with new ideas.
14I too like the orange underneath the bangs, cool effect!
HATE the length of the bangs, but I think the rest is really interesting..
15I love it. It's different and definetely couture.
16Ermmmm..... I'm lost for words
17THIS IS WHY I LOVE COUTURE..KUDOS TO THE STYLIST
18When I first glanced at it I thought "wow, horrible." but it's actually more interesting than I originally thought. That being said, I'd never wear my hair like that.
19how can you hate this? it's couture runway - it's supposed to be crazy and over the top. it's not like I would wear this walking down the street, but it's perfect for the show. I especially love the orange underneath...
20My husband saw my computer screen and started laughing.
21Enuff said.
It's fun from an art point, but I can't see any practical value. It can't really even be toned down for a wearable look.
22Silly.
23It's actually quite hilarious.
It looks like a periscope; I keep expecting it to
turn around and look at me.
And for people who think it couldn't be adapted to everyday life, come on, how useful would that hairstyle be? You could store your wine bottle in it when going out to dinner or to a party, roll up your sweat towel in there at the gym, annoy every single person sitting behind you in a movie theatre, and, most of all, walk around pretending that you're a Smurf.
It's like wearable art, it's meant to be bizarre. It would be pretty boring if they'd just scraped her hair into a ponytail.
