If Brad Pitt's favorite lip scrub is out of your financial reach, don't worry — you can banish chapped lips for a lot less scratch.
All you'll need is a teaspoon of olive oil, a teaspoon of honey, two teaspoons of white granulated sugar, and a dash of lemon juice. Mix these ingredients together to make a sugary paste. Then use your finger or a toothbrush to gently sweep the mixture back and forth on your lips. The result: Softer, smoother lips for not a lot of money.

I'll be sure to try this!
1I've tried something similar to this recipe and it worked out well. It worked better for me than a Mary Kay lip exfoliator my mom gave me. For some reason the MK kind burnt when I put it on.
2I have used olive oil, honey, and brown sugar as a full facial scrub - love the way my skin feels afterwards!
3Ive used this on my whole body. Works great.
4I've tried different scrubs, but what really works best for me is just a wet washcloth around my finger! Scrub, scrub and voila! super soft lips.
5I'd use this all over my body. I bet it smells so good.
6Sounds great!
7This sounds nice, but I have to say, I adore my Laura Gellar Lip Strip. I don't think I will ever stray from it.
8I'll be sure to try this!
9my lips are always chapped. ew
ooh, thank you! can't wait to try this. my lips always peel after i put any sort of lip product on them, whether its blistex, kiehls, or c.o. bigelow. maybe this will work.
10thank you thank you!!! i will definitely try this!
11All I do is after I brush my teeth (when my lips are soft from rinsing) I use the other side of my Oral-B toothbrush (the one with the tongue cleaner rubber bristles) and gently move the rubber bristles in circles of my lips. Then I rinse them off and apply either Vaseline, Rosebud or Chapstick Botanicals.
Best lip exfoliator I've used and it wasn't even meant for that pupose. FYI the tongue bristles are horrible for actually cleaning your tongue. The rubber bristles are small and somewhat soft so it is a better lip exfoliator.
12^ in circles ON my lips; I didn't meant circles of my lips, lol.
13great tip Bella and Lee!
14Lol, that's great lee. Try the Colgate 360 tongue cleaner. It works great on my tongue.
I just saw something about using just sugar and water to exfoliate and moisturize the face. This does sound better to use on my lips.
15I'm definitely going to try this usually I would put petroleum jelly on my lips and use a wet toothbrush to scrub my lips but I'm going to try this to see if it's better thanks for the tip!!!
16i used to love using mary kay's lip mask and exfoliator but for some reason i stopped ordering it...hm? oh well i guess i'll have to try this!
17I usually just scrub my lips with my toothbrush or clean cloth or napkin. Can we store this for few days or have to use it right away?
18This is great because it is totally organic, since it is going, basically, into your mouth. I will try this one with my kiddos, who always have chapped lips.
19My daughter, Bella, and I tried this last night, minus the lemon, just rubbing with our fingers. This works great! My daughter always has chapped lips in the winter months, and I am hoping that doing this regualarly will keep them from splitting. And, I don't have to worry if she gets it in her mouth.
20Yes! I also tried this without the lemon and it worked great. Does anyone know if you can keep it overnight?
