I was astonished when I walked into my friend's bathroom to find an entire shelf lined in face creams alone. I counted thirteen in plain sight and another six when I opened up her medicine cabinet. Holy Batman! That's 18 face lotions!
Before I entered the wonderful world of beauty product testing as a career, I had four different face lotions: two for daytime and two for the evening (and no, I'm not including eye creams). How many facial moisturizers do you own?

I have 4. I have two that I use everyday, a day and a night one. Then I have two others for when my skin is super dry and when for when my face is broken out. That's it.
1I think I just counted 6 in my head...and yes! They are all on heavy rotation. Except the Creme De La Mer...I can't bring myself to using it. ha
2Well, I got a pack that had several different types in it, so I have a bunch now. But I have two that I use fairly regularly, one in the morning and one at night after I wash my face; then I have a deep moisturizer that I use maybe two times a week.
3Also, 19.
Not to be mean.. but the math is a bit off on the story. 13+6=19 not 18.. I get the point though... either way that is a whole lot of product! I myself have shamefully between 5 and 10.
4I have two night creams that I am trying and a daytime moisturizer with spf. But lately I've been using sunscreen with spf70 for my face if I think I'm going to be heavily exposed. Having too many products is really easy to do.
5One
6One day cream, one night cream and one for the eye area. I find that my skin behaves better the less I mess with it.
7i have like 7!i use them depending on the weather and if my skin has acne on it or not. i have 2 night creams, 1 cream with spf and the rest i'll use durning the day.
8Ummm...2. One with SPF for day and the other for night and an eye gel. I guess that doesn't really count as an eye cream though. I feel like I don't have enough moisturizers after reading how many everyone else has.
9Somewhere between 5 and 10...
10I have 3. and a lot of samples.
11I only have 2 and an eye cream...but now I am wondering if I should have more and also wondering how to use so many during the same time frame, I was always under the impression that it was bad for your skin to rotate products too quickly....
122-3. one day cream with SPF, one night cream (which changes with the seasons... sometimes there's overlap until i run out of one).
13I have about 3-4.
14But the only one I use is Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel.. works the best for me and never breaks me out.
For a long time I didn't even wear moisturizer because I was so scared of putting something greasy on my skin. The Clinique one is perfect!
one for morning, one for evening. although i'm not using the day one much any more as i have a fairly moisturising foundation and concealer... should i be buying some more?!
15i own 2. One for sensitive skin that I use at night and the other has SPF in it for during the day.
16Just three, actually I think four. at my age i probably don't need all those but I hate my skin too much to risk it :/
17I have 6 but I'm currently only using 3 or 4 depending on the day. My skin is combo and changes depending on the weather and time of month.
18i have one. plus i wear sunscreen, does that count as moisturizer?
19I have one with spf in it that I put on in the morning. I've never understood the point of night cream. I don't break out, but my skin is really oily. I even hate putting on moisturizer in the morning because it feels so gross--but I'm scary white, so I need the protection from the sun.
20My main ones are by REN...a sensitive one for day and the frankincense one for night.
I have Weleda Edelweiss SPF 20 when I need it, and Weleda Wild Rose just because I like it, and other than that a "skin oil" that is a mix of nut and essential oils that I invented and blend for myself but tend to only need in the winter months...I used it more in Britain than I do here but I still love how it feels when the air is super dry and cold.
So counting the oil that is like... 5. Not so bad? Have one eye cream, so at the most its just like 6 at a time.
21Just two, the other's for the eye area btw. Don't need a bunch of facial moisturizers, they're all the same anyway IMHO.
225. Although one of them I only use when my skin is REALLY dry. Biotherm is the bomb
23I really only have one and I still have an eye cream but it's kind of old, even though it still seems fine. I could easily end up with as much as how much others have though since I love skin care and getting to try out products. But I use to have to habit of buying different skin care all the time and my mother would have me switch too often if any acne popped up again so I'm into the idea of waiting until I actually need a new one. I might get a night cream too.
24I dont use any. My skin is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY too oily. Even when they say "oil free" or "for oily/acne prone skin", they still make me a mega greaseball.
25None. I have oily skin and even though I buy the ones for my skin type, I still end up very, very oily. I just nix moisturizer and feel fine.
26I have 4 lotions/creams for my face. An Alba green tea moisturizer and an Alba eye cream, a Neutrogena one with SPF 30 in it, and Creme de la Mer for night.
27I have an SPF 15 one for daily use (Neostrata), a night time one (Garnier Soft), a sample one for travel (Simple Dermo sensitive or something like that) and eye cream (Lush Eye Enhancer). I have a couple more in Canada...a L'oreal one and possibly a Neostrata sunscreen for the face, does that count?
28Oh yeah and I have a regular day cream that I use sometimes - it's by Marcelle.
29"I dont use any. My skin is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY too oily. Even when they say "oil free" or "for oily/acne prone skin", they still make me a mega greaseball."
Try a cream that has clay in it. I had the same problem until I discovered these.
This is an awesome product (it works best with the toner of the same line)

Or for something less expensive

again with the toner, even though it smells not so great, it is a really good moisturizer
I use a cocktail of two face lotions every day: Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion SPF 15 and the alpha-hydroxy version of the same lotion. The alpha-hydroxy one is a bit harsh on its own. I've been doing this for years and I don't even know why. But anyway, the Neutrogena lotion rocks.
31i'm i the only one who doesn't use a facial moisturizer?
32i don't have oily skin, but i don't have dry skin either.
i never saw the need for it
I just have one, L'occitane. When I need to go outside during the day time, I just put on tinted moisturizer with SPF. However, since my skin is combination and sensitive, I have 2 different kinds of cleansers and toners for oily skin days and dry skin days.
33Ugh yeah, 24. That's not counting treatment products and eye creams. I used to work for Sephora though. LOL. I've been trying to use them up for a year. I gave a ton of them away to my mom but it's still a problem. My boyfriend thinks it's funny. I can't get enough of Dior Hydraction and Kinerase lotion. LOVE IT!!!! I really want the Skyn Iceland Oxgen Infusing Night Cream now. I bought the kit and love it!
34The ENTIRE Oil of Olay line, L'Occitane - blue jar(1), La Mer (1), Cocoa Butter, Lumene(1), and some others. I rotate them and use them according to what I feel like that day. More than 10, I guess, and I swear by them all!!
35I have two at the moment - Simple Oil-Balancing Lotion, and MAC Oil Control Lotion, plus I use Prep+Prime for SPF.
36Day cream with SPF...Day cream without SPF. Ligheter night cream for summer...more mositerizing night cream for winter
37One moisturizer. Now, if you just went to regular facial products, I have a Neutrogena mask, facial wash, nose pore strips (I'm blackhead prone), Neutrogena On-the-Spot pimple buster, Burt's Bees blemish stick, moisturizer, my eye cream and of course, my Differin. So, that's eight. I'm not sure if I'm keeping the Burt's Bees though.
38I have sensitive skin that is prone to redness so I tend to cycle through moisturizers depending on my skin's condition. Eucerin's Redness Relief is pretty good. I have the Body Shop's Vitamin E night cream and day lotion as well as the seaweed cream which is strictly for applying to my face after a shower. But I swear by anything by Garnier. My skin has never looked so good. The Skin Renew lotion is amazing as is the scrub I use in the shower. And its pretty inexpensive.
39one for the morning with SPF 30 and one for the evening with antioxidents to help protect my skin. I'm thinkning of getting an eye cream.
40Just 1
41I own about 2, plus SPF sunscreen 30. I own a daily moisturizing lotion because my skin gets dry and a brightening skin cream.
42I rotate between 2 or 3.
43I've only just started using SPF moisturizers (yay me!), so that's the only reason I have more than one or two. But I've always lusted after those super-moisturizing night-ish creams (like Creme de la Mer, etc.) - if they could only be a leeeetle less hard on the meager paycheck...
44Two. Mark For Goodness Face SPF30 & Avon Anew Retroactive+ Night Cream. I guess three if you count my eye Benefit eye cream.
45One: Dr. Hauschka's Rose Day Cream Light. I don't use one at night.
462 almost 4 (1 with SPF and 1 eye cream still under consideration), i thought that's too much, but now i know it's normal
47Bella Dear, i think your friend is alittle...kookoo lol. I have 2; a n all the time face cream (day and night use) and i have a night cream that i only use when my face is feeling dry.
48I have 3 or 4. One is only for emergencies when I can't find the other two and one has SPF and one is pore minimizing.
