Have you registered to vote? Have you sided with one of the candidates yet? At least I can help with one decision on Election Day. Prepare for your moment at the polls by wearing the new, limited-edition lip color from Stila in Rock the Vote Red ($17).
Rock the Vote, an organization that helps motivate young adults to get involved in presidential elections, has teamed up with Stila Cosmetics to create and sell a red-hot lipstick. 25 percent of the proceeds from the first 500 tubes will be donated to Rock the Vote to help support its worthy cause. This smooth and creamy deep, berry-red shade is a perfect way to show your patriotism.
Rock the Vote Red Lip Color will be available starting tomorrow online. Consider it your patriotic duty to look beautiful while you're casting your ballot.
If you're someone who likes red lipstick, do you think you'd buy Rock the Vote Red?

Love this color!
1I think that its a great way to get the youths involve in voting.

3Ooooh pretty! I think I just might!
4i don't like my money going to bogus charities like this "rock the vote"-young ppl should have enough ambition to vote
5Hot lipstick, definitely game, even though I'm only a humble Canadian.
And hey,
voter apathy is a problem anywhere.
6No. I do not wear red lipstick.
7vote red?
like RED state?
like McCain!
8sorry, that just seems a bit stupid to me:)
9I like the color, but if you read the fine print, very little of the money is actually going to Rock the Vote. Only 25% of the first 500 lippies sold are going to be donated. While I like the idea (and I support Rock the Vote) and I like the color, I probably won't buy it because I couldn't be sure that my money was actually going to go to the charity.
10While I support the thought behind the cause, I don't do red lipstick...
11No, I rarely wear red lipstick and I already have one.
12Love the color!
13I already have loads of red...my current favourite is still Chanel's "Bus Stop Red" though lately I have been wearing more lip stains and less lipstick, per se.
I'm kinda over Stila.
14That looks like a fabulous shade of red lipstick! It reminds me of Clinique's Angel Red shade, which is my favorite.
15never try red before, but i wanna try this one
16I think they have a good concept. However, I don't feel it was executed correctly. Why do donations stop after sales of 500? I love how Philosophy does shower gels for a cause. If Philosophy can, I don't see why other brands can't follow suite. My fave red, however, is actually a stain. I love the Nars dual ended stain/gloss in Indian Red and Moon Fleet. Indian Red is beautiful and stays all day. Moon Fleet is my ABSOLUTE favorite gold gloss. Together they're amazing.
17I don't wear red lipstick and I can think of better charities to support.
18I love the concept. Ideally they would continue to donate money past the 500 mark, but understandly they have a bottom line to look after as well. I think simply drawing attention to the cause and encouraging young people to vote is in and of itself a worth cause.
I'm dismayed at some of the negative comments about the charity though. Sure, there might be "better" charities, but I like that a cosmetic company is socially active and working proactively to get its customers involved in the election process. The past 8 years may have been a lot different if more young people "rocked the vote".
19I like the color, but not the price
