• FACE: To get a picture perfect, matte base like Ashanti's you'll need to use a heavy- coverage, matifying foundation. Apply something like Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation in Caramel [2] with a sponge and blend well (don't forget your jaw-line and around your nose). Then, add your concealer and finish with a loose powder that matches your base.
• CHEEKS: Next, mix two of Scott Barnes Cream Blush in Sultry and Sway [3] together to create the perfect pop of color and contour along your cheekbones. Dab a little on the apples of your cheeks and blend to a smooth finish.
• EYES: Begin by sweeping a bone-colored shadow all over the kid. Then, follow with a barely there shiny taupe in the crease. Next, use a black liquid liner and line the inner rims of your eyes, just below the rims and your upper lash line with a slight wing-tip extension. Then, take a white eyeliner or eye shadow like Urban Decay in Yeyo [4] and draw a line right above the black line on your upper lids. The line should be sharp and clean. Blend a little pencil in the 'inner v' of your eye, apply a set of false lashes [5], two coats of mascara and let everything dry.
