At the Los Angeles premiere of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, actress Maria Bello looked like a Roman goddess in an ethereal white gown, tanned skin, and an interesting sectioned updo. I used to wear my hair like this in grade school and secure each section with a small, colored hair clip. This look is, of course, more sophisticated, but I like that it also has an element of flippant edginess, too. Do you?

8I used to do this when I had a short, chin-length bob in high school, so only the top half. Secured with those teeny butterfly claw clips (shudder). It was trendy at the time! Anyway...
9I would probably begin with some sort of texturizing product. A good way to do this style is to section your hair, beginning right in the center on top. Part down each side to create the section (~1 inch, or whatever size you'd like...it looks like hers may be slightly larger). Then you twist each section over the tail of a comb, kind of like as if it were a curler (it has to be one of those combs with the very thin point on the end). Then you slowly pull out the comb and fasten with a bobby pin pointed inward.
Since this is fully up, you can do this for the top half of your hair and just pin the bottom up straight, or you can continue your whole head. Curl the ends (or curl beforehand and touch up the ends as necessary) and you should have an approximation of this hairdo. Hope that sort of makes sense!
P.S. - I wish she had some earrings on! Maybe it's too buys with the rest of the dress.
