Remember ColorOn Eye Envy, the wacky press-on eye shadow? The idea is that you place a pre-powdered eye shadow patch on your lids, smooth it on, and are left with perfect shadow. I thought it sounded silly, but hey — don't knock it until you try it, right?
Some of the Sugar girls and I had a ColorOn party last night, and honestly, it was a fun, goofy, girly time. We tried the Exotic Kit, which has five sets of patterned shadow. There are two zebra-print shadows, one camouflage, and two cheetah-print options. (Totally appropriate for the office.) To see what this all looks like on — it's pretty wacky — read more.
Applying the shadow was very simple. First, you peel the oval shadow from its card and place it on the lid. Next, you'll gently rub it on and remove it. From there, the color is applied and set with an included powder. We had to tidy our application a bit because the ovals were too large for us, and some of the shadow rubbed off under our eyes. (Check the gallery photos to see what I mean; the excess shadow was easy to remove.)
Truth be told, I was pretty impressed by the quality of the transfer. The prints went on evenly without smudging, and I certainly couldn't create this look on my own. For a night at a dance club or as part of a Halloween costume, ColorOn would deliver the kind of look that's usually done only by makeup artists. Will I use these all of the time? Probably not, but I'd consider some of the less-daring shades for special occasions — or just to have a fun time with friends. Whatcha think? Do you want to try these, or is it too silly?

What if your lids are smaller than average? Can you cut them to fit your eyes? Doesn't seem too practical...
1um no.
2I just don't have the kind of disposable income for this sort of thing.
Besides, part of what I enjoy about makeup is the application. Although I'd never be capable of doing, say, the zebra eyes on my own, outside of a party at the zoo, I'm not thinking I'd ever need to do so.
3Hmmm I don't think I'd try these. But it does make me wonder if I could do that for real, using regular makeup. Maybe I'll go to a zoo party one day and find out!
4Dont really like the lepoard print. Maybe the zebra ones would be ones would be good for a party or seomething.....
5I thought that they looked pretty hideous on. Totally not my thing. But if anyone wants to get them, go for it!
6Oh yeah, I would so wear these to work
Maybe for nightclubbing or for costume parties. If worn appropriately, I don't see anything wrong with them. I'll bet putting them on is more fun than wearing them!
7They look like they go on kind of messy, which I don't like. I guess I might consider wearing the for Halloween, but for everyday wear? Absolutely not!
8Maybe for halloween, or a drunken night at a club. Not an everyday look. But its fun for a random night! Id do it... I love the concept.
9i'd love to try, so different.
10I've always thought these were a bit silly... I mean, you get a tiny number of applications for the price of an eyeshadow that will last you ages? And people have different eye shapes/sizes... and everyone has their own preferences when it comes to application methods...
That, and the animal-print designs are just ridiculous. I'd never wear them IRL.
11i went into sephora last week and the lady that worked there did a sample on me. it was really cool. It was in a bronze brown color. it was really pretty and it looked like i did my own makeup. i did one eye and she did the other eye. I recommend it to people that dont kno how or have time to do their makeup.
12It didnt look anything like the pictures you guys took. y was there eyeshadow on the bottom of your eyes? weird.
I saw these at Sephora (I liked the smokey eye ones) but i was worried that they would be like that nail polish that is very similar in idea that DO NOT WORK at all!
13Maybe for halloween, Maybe.
And that would be pushing it.
Otherwise, never.
14I think these are awesome and time consuming. If you're not daring enough to try the animal prints, you should try the smokey eye prints or the normal colors. If you wake up late or need to get ready in a jiffy, these come in handy and it looks like you spent a long time getting your makeup done!
15I love that you guys played and posted pics, but I don't see myself ever buying them. It's such a strange idea- press on eyeshadow?
16I was with my mom in the mall the other day and she found a pair of leopard shoes that she said she really liked but had nothing to wear with them. We walked by Sephora and this was in the window and I told her she now had something to wear with the shoes. I think the exotic lids are pretty wild but the other colors that they make are pretty but I wouldn't use them.
17Wow that is even creepier-looking than I expected.
18No thanks...I saw these on Sephora's website recently and thought they were ridiculous. I don't think they look particularly attractive on the eye either.
Maybe for Halloween, but that's about the only time I'd ever consider something like this.
19I like them.
20I'll stick to the old fashion way of apply shadow - that's just me.
21sorry! i meant time saving haha not consuming haha
22Not for me, no way. Did you know Avon's selling press on eyeshadow too? If I really wanted to try it, in normal colors, i'd get it from Avon first since it's so much cheaper.
23fun-ness!
24ugly and tacky!
25uhhh i don't like them. I saw them at Sephora.
26I can so see this on Giggle's WTF section.....
27I think this is an interesting concept. Like other people have said, I think it would be fun for Halloween or a night out at a club. I wouldn't wear the animal prints any other time though. The regular colored ones I would definitely give a try.
28Ridiculous
29I think these look like fun!
30ridonkulous!
31I like this! It looks like a lot of fun! I think I might go to Sephora and get some! ♥
32So fun!!! I love it. This would be great for a girl's night out.
33fun to try, but not an every day thing for sure!
34i think these are tacky.
35Trannylicious!
36I saw a checker at the grocery store with the camo ones on and the effect was HYPNOTIC, I tell ya. I couldn't stop staring at her eyes!
37I agree with superjules. Trannylicious, indeed! A friend of mine does the leopard print eye for a tranny friend of his.
38I BOUGHT SOME! There was a SEPHORA grand opening at my mall and they gave away free gift cards so I put them towards it and I love them! The quality of the shadow is awesome and not to sound gross, I tried to see how long they'd last and I was on DAY 3 before I gave in and removed it. AND one eye press went on both eyes! I got the SMOKEY EYE KIT. I'd definitely buy them again
39Oooh ImmaDiva.. I wanna see pics!!
40I love this product. Yes, it's expensive, but I have reused mine 3 times already and am still getting plenty of color off of them. Super fast to use, too. I completed an eye look which would normally take me 10-15 minutes, in about 45 seconds. And they last all day long without creasing or smudging.
41I forgot to mention I have not tried the ones you gals did. I bought the blue/green ones. I probably wouldnt wear the animal print ones unless it was Halloween.
42i want these!
43i think they look awsome,,a lot of u people putting them down are just people with no character just plain boring people that would never dare wear anything out of the ordinary!!! if i saw these in a shop i would def buy them
