When I think of Wet N Wild, I think of one of two things: a water park extravaganza, or a bubble gum-popping teen cosmetics brand. So, the grown-up in me was surprised to be drawn to the brand's Mega Glo Illuminating Powder ($3.99).
I do have a bit of a soft spot for the brand, seeing as it was on my go-to list of drugstore buys in junior high. This powder is a dynamic combination of a blush, bronzer, and brightener which instantly gave me a rosy-cheeked glow reminiscent of my days of youth, as if I was back in Mrs. Betteridge's eighth-grade homeroom.
The product comes in four shades, each featuring four colors that can be easily blended or worn alone as a blush or eye shadow. After swirling a powder brush into the product to collect the multi-hued shades, I swept it on the apples of my cheeks and lightly touched upon any areas where the sun might naturally hit (tip of nose, around the hairline, eyebrow area, and jawline). I give this illuminating powder high marks for the way it brightens without causing excess shine, the fact that it's a multitasker, the natural sun-kissed look it gave, and the amazing value. Even though I had to reapply it a few times, it still gets a gold star.

wow!
1i also used wet n' wild in my younger years and never thought too look back at it since I have a new collection of NARS and MAC. But this stuff looks too good to pass up!
This is actually on my shopping list, there were two shades I wanted to try. I have a thing for WnW, they have two products that are absolute holy grails for me. One is the H20 Proof Liquid Liner, and then there's their creme shadow in Champagne Toast [it was discontinued...damn it].
2wow!
3Those pretty colors in there do kind of call out to you!
4I still rock Wet N Wild nail polish on occasion. I saw this the last time I was at the drugstore and I thought it looked pretty. I haven't used any of their makeup in years, other than nail polish, so I was skeptical, but I think I'll check it out.
5I have this in Catwalk Pink. It makes for a great pinky/peachy/glowy effect. Which color did you get, Bella?
6I love Wet and Wild. I wear the Wet and Wild blush.
7i have this in catwalk pink (the one in the pic)
8and it works beautifully!! it is a little shimmery but, i like that in my makeup!
also, i use the two light sides (light bronze and pink/purple) to create the cheekbone highlighting effect of Benefit's Ten.
I LOVE the cream blushes that Wet N' Wild makes, they come in a blue push-up tube...I would check this product out too. It sounds nice and the colors look pretty.
9I used to think the same thing about Wet N Wild, but last year I bought a great eye platelet. I love it and people always compliment me on the color
10I've been using this and I love it! I also like the MegaGlo illuminating cream in Blushing for highlighter. It's cheap and terrific. Yay!
11I have the i sparkle eyeshadow palette. I wouldn't mind trying this too.
12Hey AllaWallaBalla,
13I used "Spotlight Peach," but the other colors were really pretty, too.
I actually have some pretty amazing things in my collection from Wet N Wild.
