I'm fairly low-key on a day-to-day level, but for a big night out, I'm willing to spend up to an hour to complete my hair and makeup. Some friends are ready in 15 minutes, while others take two hours. About how long does it take you to get ready for a big event?

My hair is so thick that it usually takes about 45 minutes just to get it dry and smooth. So it usually takes me more than an hour to get ready, but most of that is just wrangling this crazy head of hair into something presentable.
1I do not care what the situation is, but In have got to look my best even if it is going to the store. In do not care. I just can not go outside looking like I do not give a care how long it takes me.
2It takes me about 2 hours to get ready everyday. It doesn't matter what the occasion - I just like to look my best daily. I can't think of anything I do that I could omit.
3About 2 hours, but that includes dressing head-to-toe (plus dealing with interruptions
).
4If it includes taking a shower, then at least 1-1.5 hours. Without taking [another] shower it only takes me about 30-45 minutes.
5I'm usually pretty good about getting ready, but special occasion definitely ramp up the prep time. My boyfriend will tell me to start getting ready before he even gets off the sofa into the shower.
6It takes me 45 minutes. I already now what I'm going to wear so have the battle is done. I will have my hair done the day before to save time.
7A full hour incl. showering, picking an outfit, hair, make up - done!
8It usually takes me about an hour, including a shower. If I decide to curl my hair or something like that it usually takes me 20-30 mins longer.
9About an hour.
10If I don't need to wash my hair I can be ready in 30 mintues.
If I need to shower I'd have to add about 30 mintues.
If I want anything other than my naturally staight hair, I'd add another 20-30.
11For a big event, about 2.5 to 3 hours including shower. Most of that is because of my hair. I have an oily scalp and have to wash it the day of the event or it's too greasy, and it's hip-length and thick so every step takes longer. I use hot rollers, curling irons, and backcombing, and the time adds up.
12hour and a half everyday.
13I'd LOVE to know the brand and color of the lipstick the girl in the pic is putting on.
I'm forever searching for a nice, cool-toned red lipstick. Yet to find one I like
14I also have alot of hair. Washing/Drying my hair takes about an hour. My makeup takes about 10 mins (including tweezing my brows). For big events, usually my outfits are planned prior to the day.
15It can take a while mostly because of my hair. Makeup alone doesn't take that long.
16It's my hair that sucks the time away. If I don't have to wash and blow-dry, I can be ready in about 30 minutes.
17Most of it is make-up and putting a sari on without sweating a monsoon.
18just about an hour
19At least an hr or hr and a half, this includes my hair of course.
20At least an hr or hr and a half, this includes my hair of course.
21Not much longer than usual because I just want to look a bit more polished but still 'me.'
22It takes me about an hour to get ready just for work every morning, so if I'm really going all out for some special night, I'm gonna need about 2
23Since I'm a guy, 45 minutes is a LONG time. But I'm glad to see I'm not taking more time than most girls. Thank the Lord!
24An hour and a half, minimum, if I'm just leaving my hair straight down. If I do something with my hair, it takes even longer. It was really annoying at my college ball earlier this year - all the boys did was shower and put on suits, and the girls spent all day getting ready!
25It takes me about 45 minutes, including a shower, if I wear my hair curly. If I straighten it, it's more like 1-1.5 hours. That's no getting sidetracked or dilly dallying.
26Not much longer than my normal routine--maybe about 15 minutes (not including shower).
27It only takes me about 30 minutes to get ready - not including deciding what to wear...That can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Usually I start thinking about my outfit throughout the day so I have an idea...
28The makeup routine I have down pat, so unless I mess up and start over again it's 15 mins. My hair is pretty low maintenance. But I take FOREVER to pick an outfit!! so all in all it can be anywhere from 30 min to over an hour! And I'll have clothes strewn all over the room.
29Far too long.
30If I don't have to wash my hair (I have curly dry hair, so I don't wash it everyday...it would fall out), then its 15min shower and 25 min prep for a special occasion.
311+ but it never turns out the way i want

THANKS SO MUCH!
I said 1 or more hours. This would change depending on the social occasion, and whether or not I have girlfriends over who are also getting dressed with me, lol!
definitely more if I was having hair and/or makeup done professionally.
For just a regular night out, I could get ready in less than an hour if I needed to but I like to be prepared and get ready with time to spare.
3330 minutes
34about 2 hrs, but it depends if what i'm wearing,
35were i'm going, but the most time I spend is
on my hair.
If my hair is wet, at least 1.5 hour, sometimes more. If my hair is dry, about 40 minutes, and if I have the forethought the night before to pop the curlers in I can be ready in 20.
