Many years ago, my aunts went through a major phase/obsession. What season were you? What color palettes would go with said season? Were you a Winter or a Summer? On and on they went — they even had swatch books with fabric samples carefully customized by a color expert so that the guesswork was taken out of each and every shopping trip. At the time I thought it was over the top, but they were definitely on to something!

Have you ever wondered which makeup colors would complement your own skin, hair, and eye colors? Choosing the wrong ones will give you that blah, worn-out look. Choosing the right colors, however, will accentuate your natural features and make you glow. Take my quiz to find out if your undertones are considered a warm or a cool, and I'll give you some helpful tips on how to make your color selections a breeze. Note: It's best to do this test in natural light with a freshly washed face. Also, pull your hair back and keep your shoulders bare so you get a true sense of your natural coloring.

I'm kind of interested in the seasons thing, I used to try to silently figure out what season people were. Its kind of fun.
1I'm so Cool
2I am a warm skin color...and its true...Ivory looks way better on me then just white (thats why my wedding dress is Ivory)...
3
quizzes like this never work for me. I'm a true neutral.
4I'm cool, which seems to be right. Love the blue, green and purple colors way more than yellow, orange and brown ones...
5Ooh! Thanks a million Bella!
Only thing is that my skin looks equally glowy with silver and gold.
Oh well! Versatility, baby!
Thanks again!
6Thanks for this!
7I can't figure out what I am. I think I'm right in the middle of the two.
8I always prefer cooler tones (grey, black, white, jeweltone blues..) and I have blue eyes but almost grey.
I prefer silver to gold but I think that is more just my tastes.
I burn easily, but I can tan too, I just prefer not to.
Complicating this is I was born nearly white-blonde, but have coloured my hair for like 20 years, I am naturally dark blonde but look better (in my opinion) as a brunette.
Its always been hard for me to narrow it down because my skin has always been wierd...if its possible to be pale, and pinkish, but with YELLOW undertones, that is what I am. Anything olive or muddy washes me out badly...I need pale yellow-based foundations, and I look far, far better in black or white than yellows, beiges, creams, browns, oranges or anything else warmish.
I think its my heritage...I am literally a mix of English, Scottish, German, American Indian and Italian....my dad really shows his Italian blood, and my mom was totally the pale beauty type.
9I got warm but I'm never 100% sure what I am. Sometimes I think I must be a neutral. I also can't really tell the difference between how gold and silver look on me.
10My mom was completely into getting your colors "done." In fact my graduation present from undergrad was that she took me to a Beauty for All Seasons consultant and had them figure out my best colors. I forget exactly what my season name is but I got a palate of color swatches that are flattering on me, it's really handy when I go shopping.
11I'm definitely a warm. I have golden blonde hair, but I always wanted to be brunette--it looks terrible on me
12I'm a warm who wants to be cool.
13Aw, Details, I'm sure you're "cool" in other ways.
14I am COOL! Hehe great quiz - I have always been curious.
15I am WARM tone. It was right on the dot for me.
16Great quiz! A lot of makeup artists mistakenly think I'm a "cool" because I am prone to redness in my face when in reality, I'm a "warm" with an irritated face.
17Cool — you are a, well, cool! You look best in foundation that has a bluish or pink undertone. If you fall under this category, you generally should stick to jewel tones such as blue, purple, blue-green, green, magenta, and bluish-red. You'd probably wear white shirts over ivory ones, and black mascara makes your eyes pop.
18Im warm
19I'm a cool, which I knew already. Still, it's good to get it confirmed. Cool quiz, Bella!
20I'm cool..it seems like all foundations are made for warm toned skin.
21The yellow/orange shirt question is a tough one...yellow looks fabulous on me but usually when I have a tan already. And I tan and burn easily too. I guess it's possible to be a warm when I have a tan and a cool when I'm au natural, right?
22I'm neither warm nor cool. I can wear orange, gold, yellow, and brown just as well as I can wear pastels and silver. But I do burn easily and have blue eyes
23I'm a blue eyed neutral N4, but I definately look better in blues, purples and I recently tried some copper/orange eyeshadow and it looked horrid on me! So I guess I may lean more towards the cool side
24I don't even have to take this quiz...I know I have cool undertones.
25I don't know what I am. I have dark hair and dark blue eyes, and pale skin that doesn't really tan or burn.
26I don't agree with the results! It told me I look best in yellow, orange, brown, orangey-reds, and yellow-green when I just told them I look sickly in yellow and orange. Nice.
I'm definitely more cool.
27My skin is cool, but my hair and eyes are warm. I gravitate towards wearing browns and greens, so I always figured I was an autumn. Maybe I'm neutral too? I could probably use a color consultant.
28Tigerfire, you sound like a classic winter.
29Technically, I'm a warm, but I think I'm actually more of a neutral since I can wear some shades that warm's shouldn't. Plus, silver looks best on me.
30I'm definately warm. Brown, gold and some neutral eyeshadows have always made my skin glows.
