Do You Brush Your Teeth in the Shower?

Common products used in the shower: shampoo, conditioner, some kind of soap, shaving cream, face wash and toothpaste!? You see, several weeks ago at a dinner party, the majority of the guys in attendance admitted to scrubbing not only their bodies — but their teeth — while showering. It got me to thinking that maybe doing a little multitasking in my morning routine might not be that bad of an idea. So, tell me what you think about brushing your teeth while bathing. Source

i don't but i know a few people who do and that's just odd to me. i feel like there are somethings that you do in the shower and others that you don't and although the toothpaste and spit is no worse than shampoo and soap, i just feel like it's not right to do it in the shower.

I did it one year while I was living in a dorm. The bathroom was set up such that I hated brushing my teeth while other people were doing their business a foot away. Thus, I brushed and showered at the same time. Good time saver!

Heckz yeah I brush my teeth in the shower. I do it while my conditioner is soaking into my hair so it saves time and water. I see no reason not to do it, other than that it's "weird."

I did for like a month a few years ago, when I was in college. I wanted to see what the fuss was about because other people were doing it. LOL. Now I stick to the sink! I like to brush my teeth before I get in the shower. My hair takes a lot of time and I don't want the hot water to run out! Haha.

Same here, Foxie. That way I always make sure I leave my conditioner in long enough.

Every morning brushing my teeth in the shower is part of my routine. I don't leave my toothbrush in the shower though; I put it in the drawer cuz Oprah said poo particles will get on it if it's too near the toilet and I just assumed shower scuz would too.

I have before, but I perfer to get out of the shower as soon as I can so my hair will start to dry so it doesn't take as long to blow dry my hair.

I also picked up the habit in the dorms in college! I hate people watching me brush my teeth, for some reason.

I prefer not to ... I've only done it in occasions where I've had to share bathroom time and there isn't enough room for both me and my baby sister to brush at the sink ... so I'll volunteer to take my shower and brush while she goes and does her business ... and then we switch places so I can dry off while she takes her bath.

No and also I know friends of mine do it do be more eco-friendly but it's not very eco-friendly because you waste more water while the shower's on and you're brushing. It's just easier to brush at the sink.

Yes. I've been doing it forever. People always say it's strange, but I'm glad to see other people do it, too! No longer must I live in shame...

I've never done it. I don't think I'd like it because of the hot water. Also, it would be a waste of water for me. I take pretty quick showers that involve multitasking, and this would just add 2-3 minutes of water running.

    yes, I definately have.

I thought it was weird at first, but after thinking about it more and more, I was like "what the heck! Nothings weird about it, really"

No I can't do, plus my shower process is already jam packed with a routine I can't afford to act more.

I used to LAUGH at commercials showing people brushing their teeth in the shower. ''Who does that'' I would yell at the tv. But I tried it once in a mad rush and well...its become a regular thing. I love it!

I used to do it all the time (habit picked up from my hubby). But when we moved I banned the habit (easier to adopt new habits in a new environment) in the new house, because I noticed it cut down on remembering to floss.

I brush in the morning and at night so I don't because I would hate having to move my toothbrush from one place to another. I suppose I could get a second toothbrush, but oh well.

I don't condition my hair so I guess I don't really have any 'sit around and wait' time in the shower.

I do it when I shower first thing, but if I'm doing something else before I shower (ie, my morning walks, or the like), then brushing my teeth is the first thing I do when I get out of bed. I'm somewhat obsessive about my teeth, what with my mother being a dental hygienist and all... it's been imprinted on my brain since I was tiny!

I do! I got tired of wasting 2 min while my conditioner sat in my hair so I started brushing while I waited ... it's great! No toothpaste on the mirror or the sink now either!! Eye-wink It goes right down the drain.
