This October, Thierry Mugler is releasing a new version of his 1992 perfume, Angel; the new scent is called Angel Les Parfums Corps. According to WWD, the nine items (exfoliating cream, hair mist, deodorant) will be as strongly scented as the perfume thanks to a new technology called the IDS-Intense Diffusion System technique. Sounds fancy.
British actress Naomi Watts, who wore the designer's gown to The Met's Costume Institute Gala, has signed on as the face of the new fragrance as well as the Thierry Mugler cosmetics line I told you about back in May. Truthfully, I'm surprised Naomi hasn't had a large contract like this before — but it's certainly a good way to ring in her 40th birthday next month.

I like Naomi.
Not a fan of Angel perfume though...I loved it in college and wore it all the time, but it kind of nauseates me now.
1great pick, she has this classic Hollywood glam blonde/Veronica Lake look, like Jerry Hall who had been face of Angel fragrance for some time.
2I love the Angel fragrance. Don't know if I want it in a deodorant tho'.
3While Naomi is stunning and will look wonderful in the ads, I have an issue...
What ever happened to using actual models?! Actor's act and they could sometimes model however it should be were models do their job and actors do theirs and only sometimes make an exception. Left and right, I keep reading about some celebrity being the new face of some beauty or fashion line and it annoys me terribly. This is why we no longer have a "Supermodel" because models are rarely being hired for the ads now.
There I'm done ranting (for now
)
4I love this scent.
5I love this scent...so fruity and sexy. Naomi is a good pick too.
leeluvfashion; It's because celebrity endorsements simply have more selling power. Like you said, there are no supermodels out there like yesteryears that are iconic enough to make people buy stuff, except maybe Gisele Bundchen who has endorsed a lot.
6I think she is a good fit for this scent!
7She's alright... and she's Australian, by the way.
.
8i think that it's great she has this contract now - it shows that you can be established and still get the great endorsements. as for the perfume itself - i was a HUGE fan of angel when it first came out and now i hope that the new version is just as lovely. i wouldn't mind going back to it after all these years.
9bella, she's australian!!! remember, she's best friends with nicole kidman?
10well, she was born in England and raised in Australia...
Her parents were English though.
her imdb bio says: Considers herself to be both British and Australian.
