I'm a firm believer in eating well to keep your skin healthy, but The Republic of Tea hopes you'll drink your way to a clearer complexion. Its Get Gorgeous tea ($10) has been out for a while now, promising to clarify skin with its blend of organic red tea and herbs.
It's a rooibos tea from Africa, and I'm a fan of this stuff in general. It's smooth and has a vaguely nutty flavor. The blend also has chamomile (said to soothe skin) and the chaste berry, which is meant to balance hormones so you break out less often during that time of the month. It all sounds great, but unfortunately, it isn't the sippable skin savior you might hope for. After drinking this tea for a few weeks, I didn't see any discernible difference in my skin. It can't hurt to have a cup, but keep your expectations in check.

Personally, I think good old green tea is just as good - if not better - and at $2 a can, much more reasonably priced
Interesting marketing strategy though...
1I agree, Alyssa9986...green tea is soooo good for you! I try to drink a cup everyday.
2i love Tea, specially hot chamomile with
3a drop of lemon, and it has change my skin
i use less cream, but my skin is not dry,
instead of cour daily cup of coffe, take
Tea, it really help out.
Two quarts of mineral water a day works just as good.
4green tea all the way!!
5my mom is a tea master and we have a tea ceremony every day!
so relaxing and good for your body and soul!
Well I drink tea because it's good for me in general. If it really does make my skin better, that's nice and all, but I'm not expecting anything. I did though squeeze out some of the liquid from teabags I've used to use it as part of my self made toner for my face.
6I love tea - especially green & peppermint tea which I can buy for $3 a box. I wouldn't think twice about buying the Get Gorgeous Tea though - not a big fan of rooibos.
7I'm all for good things for your mind, body and soul but I like my $ also. $10 is a bit much.
8I'll take a can please.
9(my water's getting boring and i'm totally cramping)
I would rather just drink good ole' green tea, white tea, wheatgrass and water like I usually do. I've been on the wheatgrass for a week so I still have to wait abit to see any results.
10i'm a huge fan of rooibos, but i can tell you firsthand, it won't do a ton for your skin.
11I've tried it as well, no difference really :/ I used to work at a coffee/tea place and drank tea non stop all day, usually GREEN, my skin was never better than it was when I worked there!
12This is the first I have heard of this but I like a lot of you would rather stick with my green tea.
13Yeah I love green tea and trying to get a lot of antioxidants for my skin. If anyone thinks this works better let me know!
14I don't believe that a drink can help clarify or make your skin better. I think that a good skin regime can help with your skin problems. An ingredient in the tea that can balance hormones? Totally false.
15I tried the sore throat one once and I liked it but I didn't notice much of a difference from any other hot drink for a sore throat but I did only do it for a day or two...
16I'm a huge fan of tea. I've been drinking tea since I was 4 years old, taught by my Mom and Aunt no less. Outside of water, this is all I ever drink. Black, green, white, red and some herbals. I hear that tea can be good for you because it has antioxidants in it. By the way, I am now almost 43 years old, and look younger than I am and also, I do not have a single cavity in my mouth. It has been said that tea does have flouride in it, as well as some kind of acid that cleans out your mouth from some bacteria, which is why I might not have any cavities.
17I wonder if anyone with breakout prone skin has tried it for any length of time.
18I'll just stick with green tea. I drink 6-10 cups a day. It's so good. I love the acai green tea the best right now.
19I'm on my third tin of this and I've got to say, when I drink it regularly, I do see improvement in my skin.
