Wouldn't it be nice to wear a gorgeous dress and have a foxy Frenchman follow you? Lucky Anne Hathaway gets paid to do it! She stars in the ad campaign for Magnifique, the newest fragrance from Lancôme. It's a woodsy floral (with some unusual ingredients). Here's Anne looking as French as possible while the Brand New Heavies provide the backing tune. I still say the tagline is corny, and Fab thinks the hand-smooching is silly — but wearing a beautiful gown in the world's most beautiful city? Chic as can be. What's your take?

I think anne hathaway is adorable but this commercial is just cheesy. lancome is like lord and taylor...
1yikes... i never really liked her.. sorry
2God knows why they picked her as the brand ambassador. She's cute but far too girl next door. Wish they had stuck with Kate or Uma.
3I love her... that just seemed like a very 80's commercial. Doesn't make the perfume look very high-end.
4Can they kill the talking and add simple music. Flash the text at the end. Anne in Paris has me thinking Devil Wears Prada. This is not a groundbreaking commercial though.
5I absolutely adore Anne as an actress, but sorry what was Lancome thinking? It was cheesy.
6You ARE unique....just like everybody else
7Anne's so pretty there. Didn't like the music though, it doesn't go well with what's going on.
8agree with austerity. anne looks gorgeous in the photos for the perfume but there seems to be a clash between the "girl next door" and "uber luxury" celebrities that lancome is used to using.
9I adore Anne, but I don't really like the acting here. Maybe it's the cheesy music and voice at the end.
10she looks fabulous and this add makes me happy.... so i say chic.
11ehh idk. i think its a little of both!
12Hmm, I smelled this perfume and it reminds me too much of their other perfumes. It smells like a Lancome scent. Alot like Tresor. I don't care about commercials, but at least they picked someone less known.
13Looks like those "Charlie" and "Enjolie" commercials of yesteryear!
DEFINITELY, cheesy!
14The music makes it super cheesy.
15I think it would be so much better without it.
She looks beautiful as always.
lamelamelame.
16This was a little disappointing. I'm a B.A. for Lancome and they showed us a different commercial that literally gave me chills. Magnifique is an interesting fragrance. Its interesting to know that it was made by the same perfumer that created such greats like Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue and Clinique Happy, both very successful perfumes. As for Anne, she's the definition of worldly class.
17Wow, "cheesy" doesn't even begin to cover the melted mess of that commercial. And the music! And they PAY advertising people to come up with this crap?
18yuck! that music grates on my ears
