If you notice construction going on at your local CVS in the near future, it might be more than just a pharmacy drive-thru remodel. You probably shop at CVS for wide variety of inexpensive beauty delights — but soon, you'll be able to pop in for fancy items as well.

White-tiled flooring, brushed steel fixtures, seafoam green walls at CVS? Yep — according to WWD, the drugstore chain is ready to unveil Sephora-sized, high-end beauty emporiums called Beauty 360. The first concept store is set to open by year's end in a major city on the East Coast. You won't have to go searching far, as Beauty 360 stores will pop up in adjacent areas to CVS's pre-existing locations or in a separate store within CVS.
Although the exact brands to be carried at this high-end store remain a mystery, “department store or specialty store brands" will be available. There's also talk of including "express services" like massages and manicures. Since subsequent plans include opening 500-1000 Beauty 360s and the majority of women live within 5 miles of a CVS, I'm sure you'll be moving on up yourself very soon.

as long as I can use my CVS card there! HAHA
Its funny this is what drugstores are like already in China, with like makeup counters ringing the walls. It's pretty nice but kinda pricey. It would tots help if you COULD use your extra care card though
I agree. Let us use the card and coupons, please. Maybe that's why they're building a new one here right near another one. Or at least I hope so because I don't see the point of having 2 so close by unless the new one is going to be different.
That is a brilliant marketing idea. While waiting for your prescription, you can go get your nails done or browse some higher end make-up lines. This is going to be a big hit.
Yay!
They already have the occasional "specialty" brands at my CVS- some Bumble and Bumble products, other hair products on that level, La Roche-Posay, Roc . . .I mean it's meager but has always been interesting to me the "randomly" better beauty brand stuff.
I just heard Longs is being bought out by CVS, can't wait!
This makes me so excited!!! There are seriously about 10 CVS stores near my house--I hope one of them at least gets this fancy makeover!
This is why I LOVE, LOVE LOVE CVS!!! Wal-Greens absolutely pales in comparison. CVS is always clean and fully stocked, and I can always find what I'm looking for. Wal-Greens, on the other hand, is always run-down looking, and the employees could care less about helping their customers. I can't wait for these beauty stores to open up! Woo! Go CVS!
I can't wait. I hate having to go to the mall to visit sephora or macys for make-up. Parking is a nightmare but I don't like to buy stuff online either- I'm all about instant gratification
This is great news!
I know that the CVS around here is really expensive so I hope they're charging regular retail for the high end stuff and not jacking up the prices to make more profit. It definitely would be good to have one around because there is no Sephora or Ulta in the state lol.
well i think that CVS has realized that they have competition out there with target who has a pretty cosmetics department - and there are other places like sephora that you can buy the same products as well. it can't hurt to have a remodel done in the store - as long as i don't see the results of this in increased prices.
I like this idea although Rite-Aid is only 2 minutes from my house; CVS is alittle farther. Either way I'll go to CVS if I can get a HE product I like without paying s/h. Rite-aid carries Bumble and Bumble now, wish is a nice addition.
i have always loved cvs and this just makes me love them more!!! yay, i can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!
Cooooooooool!!!
sounds cool. i would love to not have to get on the subway to make it all the way to sephora... just walk down the block.
I literally have 5 CVS stores within 5 miles. It's a little insane. I would love, love, love it if they did this at one near me.
I despise CVS!
Freaking awesome!
The CVS near me is pathetic, but if they brought in new lines that would be like sephora or ulta, i could stand to go in. what a great idea - especially if they offer express manicure service too!
This is sooo cool! But I know my local CVS won't have it.
I'm pretty excited about this! I love CVS!
It'll be like 20 years before the local CVS does this.
my CVS just got a makeover, and now carries really high-end skin-care items...and has been completely redone on the inside, making it look really nice.
