I can think of many moments when the photo op was right, but my face was looking wrong. Like the treasured photo on Christmas morning 2006: Dark circles and puffy eyes masking the happiness of holding my mother's gift of a thong. (Not kidding.)
Well, look out Photoshop, Casio's got a new way to hide those imperfections. The soon-to-be-released Exilim Zoom EX-Z300 and the EX-Z250 come equipped with a special "makeup button." Yep, it's like having your own makeup artist with just a little click.
According to Tech-On!, this function can recognize facial features and adjust accordingly, covering dullness and blotchiness and reducing the appearance of shadows. Casio says it "makes the skin tone look softer and smoother, while covering annoying little wrinkles." While it can't actually do your mascara and lipstick, I'm all for a camera that boosts my complexion along with my ego.

I HAVE TO HAVE THIS!!!! MY CAMERA JUST BROKE SO THIS IS PERFECT TIMING!!!!! TALK ABOUT A LIFESAVER.
1WHAT? this is ridiculous. I'm all for looking good in pictures, but this is just going far; I would GLADLY do my own makeup if it means looking like myself. I don't want to be computerized, thanks.
Example of the makeup:

they couldn't have used a picture of a girl that truly looked bad? dunno about you, but the before was beautiful, and the after is a little japanese anime-ish.
2So basically it gaussian blurs and lightens everything? That's basic photoshop, y'all.
Just another way to cheat on your pics for match or whatever.
3when is the release date? anybody know?
4so pretty much its a camera with pre-installed photoshop!?
5hahaha i mean as much as it sounds great and i know these problems happen, its always a little ridiculous.
Hey there! The camera comes out on Friday in Japan and in October in America. I think I might have to at least try it out at the store.
6how funny, I have an exilim 7.2 already, and I swear, its my BABY. its never failed me! however, a 10.3 sounds pretty bad ass right about now...I'd only get it if I found my beloved 7.2 a loving home first!
7I totally need this!!!
8I'd like to try it, why not?
9Argh, October eh... come quicker so I can give it a quick test run!
10Any clue how much this will cost?
11Neat, but my photo editing program (Corel Paintshop Pro) already does this...
12I don't think I want one. In fact recently I'm thinking I want to go back to using a real camera. I also want the Diane version of the Lomo camera.
13Oops, I meant the Diana version.
14I'll pass. I need a new camera, but this seems ridiculous.
15I'd like to try that. I feel like I always look terrible in digital pics, so if this helps, that'd be great.
16I don't think anyone on Sugar needs it...we are all just too gorgeous...don't want people to get jealous of us all!! HHAHAHA.
17This product is ridiculous. No camera can actually "fix" your face or how others would see your face!! I'm not spending money on that camera.
18Make-up fix or not these cameras take really good pictures and are very easy to operate. I highly recommend!
19I adore these exilim cameras im on my 3rd (due to my bad temper)
20and i would deffo throw another on at someone to buy this hehe
Hmmm interesting. I've just checked my pictures of festival partying from this weekend, and even though I was so proud of my makeup at the time, in the pics my gloss and blush look extremely pink, my eyeshadow very shiny, and my eyebrows very very dark.
I so hope I didn't really look
that pink at the time; makes me wonder how I can avoid looking like that in pictures without over using makeup..
