Lady-smooching pop singer Katy Perry appeared on the Today show yesterday, and she was all dressed up in a tarty watermelon-inspired outfit. I rather like her unusual style, since it could be overly wholesome, but she adds a little edge to it. Putting aside the fact that she's wearing heavy foundation for the cameras, do you like this hair and makeup look on her?

That just might be a little too wholesome!
The liner sort of freaks me out...
I'd have to agree with aimeeb, something about her eyeliner is rubbing me the wrong way. I love her though!
They made her look too fake, almost like a barbie doll or something. The foundation and eyeliner together is just like . . . wow.
i think the hair and makeup is cute, don't know about that dress ...
The hair looks a bit too fake for my taste. I don't really like that eye make up on her, but maybe it'll look better on someone else. Same with that lip color. I like her with red lipstick
But besides that, the dress is atrocious!
I trying to ignore the fact that it's overdone for the camera, but I'm not sure I can really like it.
Her outfit looks like a tap dance costume I had when I was 7. Blech!
Love it
I love her makeup and hair although I could do without the hat thing and her outfit is hideous. I really love the matte lips and her shiny hair.
Only Katy Perry can pull it off, so I love it and love her!
ew...
i'm just not a fan of her at all... I'm so sick of the hype... there's nothing special there
I'd have to hear her voice.. but even the hair and outfit don't seem to go with her face. She would probably look more comfortable and fresh in a white dress or something more down to earth. Maybe lose that thing in her hair, but keep it pinned up. I don't know.. she just looks like she's trying to hard.. but she looks like she could be a very pretty girl.
it. looks. bad.
It looks like someone dressed up for Halloween. And I don't even know what the dress looks like yet.
It looks like what I would've looked like if I were still playing with my mum's make-up.
No no no no!! Her face looks way too dark for her pale decollete...in fact she's almost orange. Not a good look for anyone!
The eyeliner is rubbing me the wrong way and so is the hair. It looks too wig-gy for me.
The whole look makes think of those actresses from those old musical movies. It looks too heavy and bright.
She doesn't look so bad....and I'm not a fan of hers.
I think it's okay. Her make-up looks a little too caked-on, but I like her take on the "pin-up girl" look.
Dislike. She needs to chose to either focus on her eyes or lips, not both.
Good God her face is scary.
Love her, love her style, she's so unique and original!
There is just too much going on here. Over-the-top hair, make-up, dress, everything. She is so pretty, though.
A friend told me she katy perry was trying to look like Lily Allen , but I'm not sure...
I just don't like her makeup looks AT ALL and her style? Let's not go there.
It's just too much for my taste...
Just so you know, when you're on stage or on tv you have to wear a fair bit of makeup. I'm pretty sure she wasn't expecting anyone to get a close-up of her. I can assure you that she is not trying to look like Lily Allen, I don't know why anyone would go out of their way to. Actually she has a thing for Lolita. The book, the movie, etc. Read her blog if you're so inclined. And if anyone can name any successful recording artist who doesn't have a gimmick, a shtick if you will, I'd love to know of them. By the way, I'm as sick of hearing "that song" as everyone else is.
I hate it. Reminds me of Grease, at the dance when Doody tells Frenchy that she looks like a pineapple. I do however think that the colour looks great on her.
The makeup is fine, but her hair reminds me of a poodle from the 80s.
It's just too much for her. She's a pretty young woman, and here she just looks too painted.
its lolita!! they didnt even show the whole pic its really cute.
