Solange Knowles went with a completely different look than the one she was sporting on Friday at the Fashion Rocks event in New York. There she wore a subdued side-swept updo (that you all weren't feeling), but at the VMAs she went with a head full of spiral curls. And, I, for one, am loving the transformation. It's very reminiscent of Diana Ross in the '70s, but that definitely goes with the image the younger Knowles sister is currently trying to convey. Add to that a deep berry lip that matches her dress and you've got a look that's both retro and current. You likey?

2I don't love or hate the dress, and I don't love or hate the hair/makeup, but I just wish she had picked one extreme and one toned down...

4There is something disturbing about the eyebrows and the dark lips. I don't know if it's the angle of the picture or what, but yes, at first she looked like a clown to me, or a tranny.

10SOrry, but my first reaction was "clown". It's the combo of lips and hair. She should have toned something down. Honestly, that whole only emphasize one feature at a time works. Also, I kind of hate matching lipstick to your dress, but it could have worked if everything else was very simple.

16I don't care for her at all and think she is a wannabe following in her sisters footsteps but I must admit that she looks 100% better than at the Fashion Rocks event...

20I think this look really ages her. I thought it was Traci Ellis Ross especially when I scanned and saw Diana Ross written in the text. The hair or the lips or the eyes but not all 3 at once.
