Nicky Hilton looks like she could be one of the backup girls from the Robert Palmer video, "Simply Irresistible." She's definitely got the dress to match, so I'm assuming the look is an homage to that great video. How appropriate; this is MTV after all. The quintessential Palmer look is mainly about the hair, and Nicky's is slicked back to perfection. She went a little softer on the lips than the Palmer girls, but the eyes are fit for the video. It's interesting how heavy she went on the upper lid, but not as much on the lower. What do you think, is Nicky "Simply Irresistible?"

I really love the makeup. I wish she would have done her hair a little bit differently though.

10I really like the strong eyes and soft colored lips, but the hair is too severe. And especially with her face shape, it just doesn't do her justice.
11She is not pretty enough to pull off this hairstyle, too much focus on her oddly shaped face and big nose. She needs her hair! I get that the makeup is a "look," but it's not flattering, so doesn't work. A look/theme is fine, but if it makes you look ugly, then it fails and looks costume-y.

15Adore Nicky, but I hate the dress. However, I didn't watch the VMA's they were interesting when they were aired during the '80s and the 1990s. Once 2000 rolled around, they sucked donkey balls.
