Whether it be an icy shadow or a dark navy liner, one thing is for sure — blue was cool at last night's VMAs. I love how Bar Refaeli, Stephanie Pratt, and Pink went for frosty versions to bring brightness to their eyes. Rihanna and Ashlee Simpson opted for a more smoky edge, while Christina Aguilera added her own unique (as usual) take on the trend. Do you think you'll be wearing any of these blue-hued looks?

I love a good iridescent turquoise or peacock-blue liner.
1I had a make-up artist show me a similar look. To make it more appropriate for everyday, he used pale pink eye shadow with the light blue liner and lots of mascara.

10Note to all: NONE of these ladies has brown eyes! Blue liner does NOT look good on brown eyes.
11I have medium blue eyes, so navy looks really nice but the light blue can be very tricky. I think with this inspiration I'll be digging out my navy liner again soon!

niche, that is a great idea, I never had anyone ask how to tame this dramatic look down for day- I will have to try this on someone !!
My personal fave-look for blue eyes is a nice golden-taupe shadow, dark forest green liner(inbetween the lashes only) and a navy blue mascara, curl lashes slightly. You can NEVER go wrong with a Navy Blue mascara for a blue-eyed girl! Never!
20Love some blues..charcoal-smokey blues, turquoise/teals (think Nars Cleo) and those good old-school YSL deep matte purple-blues, (MUFE makes one, its awesome.)
I have blue eyes but..barely, they are almost grey, I don't tend to like light frosty blues, I like deep ones as accents/smoke/liners.
21I myself like Stephanie's. I have pale skin and blueish gray eyes, so i find that pale blue doesnt suit me too well. I think i'll try navy.
