Like tans, natural brows, and blowouts, freckles are one of those things that beauty insiders seem to vacillate about with rapid speed. Some of the same companies who make products that fade freckles have also come out with and discontinued freckle pencils (Lancome, Chanel). Luckily for those of us who are fans of ephiledes (that's science for freckles), Charlotte Tilbury's brought them back at Matthew Williamson. "We're painting on a few little freckles across the nose and on the tops of the cheeks where the sun would naturally bring them out with a lip pencil called Hodgepodge by MAC," said Tilbury. "It's a fresh young look that's a bit naughty." So naughty, in fact, that she revealed how she painted them on Kate Moss on a few occasions. One caveat: "For real life, use waterproof pencil!"

that model is a little scary looking in my opinion!
I have to agree with you, spacebear. I think it's just because she looks so grumpy. I love freckles though. I think they're cute. I always wanted some when I was growing up, but I don't think I want them bad enough to draw fake ones on.
"We're painting on a few little freckles across the nose and on the tops of the cheeks where the sun would naturally bring them out..."
Don't you just love it? Um, that's called sun *damage* if they aren't there naturally! Isn't the reason cosmetic companies include sunscreen in their products; to *prevent* sun damage? It looks cute when natural, but IMO sun damaged skin isn't attractive at all.
my bff looks almost exactly like her just minus the angry chicken look. i tried all thru college to convince her that her freckles are gorgeous but he would always plaster her face with heavy makeup. i totally sent her this post. TAKE THAT AMBER!
I've had freckles since I was a toddler. I used to absolulty hate them and now I've grown to love them...they make me unique! As I've gotten older they have faded on my chin and forehead but I still have them on my nose, cheeks, etc. I'm assuming that if you were pretty much born with them they aren't skin damage?
hotpink, natural freckles aren't sun damage, nor are "beauty marks". I've always envied my mothers natural freckles, but would never try to purposely get them by opening myself up to potential skin damage.
Being put on with a pencil is not sun damage either.
I have tons of freckles, and have always loved them. I started wearing heavy sunscreen a couple of years ago and that is what I miss most - my freckles have been fading! Now if I get any sun whatsoever, I get instant freckles, which are very obvious. Oddly enough - the most freckled part of me are my lips, they are completely covered.
I adore my freckles. Though you can only see them in person. They bleach for pictures. But drawing them on seems kind of...odd.
kahribar, thanks for clearing that up. (
Punk Glam- Your mom must have fair skin? I wear sunscreen everyday but my freckles are still here! LoL
the makeup is kind of cat like.
I have freckles.. 90% of the time I cant stand them.. lol.. Im fair skinned and I would rather have spotless fair skin then spotted fair skin.. =)
I don't like this model she looks like a b*tch. I'm not a fan of this many freckles, I looked like this as a kid but they are better now.
