Even though I've just returned from Spring 2009 Fashion Week, when it comes to beauty trends, I'm currently looking a little bit more into the near future. I'm all for planning ahead, but first I need to make a few purchases to update my cosmetics bag for Fall 2008.
As the change of season approaches, which fall makeup trend do you think will make it in your shopping cart this Fall? Whatever look you choose, how bold will you go: runway style or a more toned down version?

The metallic eyeshadow. It looks good on everyone, and it's versatile.
1I'm torn between Metallic shadows and Bold brows. A good set of eyebrows go a long way (and I can't stand overly plucked brows), but some good shadow always looks pretty.
2Pop of color eye shadow when worn right... I don't like it on the model above.
Second would be the metallic eyeshadow.
3Metallic shadows! Partly bc I bought some metallic shadows in exactly those colors last fall (oh I'm so ahead of the trend, hahaha, totally kidding!) but I agree with those are good colors for lots of people and can be blended in pretty ways.

5The bold lips are by far my favorite... a lot of the girls in my office are sporting them now and everyone looks just a little more polished.

8I love the deep lip shades that are hot this fall. I just got MAC lipstick in Oh Scarlett and I'm stoked to rock it!

13I like them all, but I chose the "cat eye" winged eyeliner. It would, of course, have to be toned down for real life wear, though
14I love metallic shades and colors. It's what I do everyday, so I'm kind of happy it's still trendy! I also like the bold brows, because I think the teeny tiny ones don't look as good.

16Bold brows! Its great to see people without pencil thin or overly arched brows. Second choice is stained lips in bold colors.

18I always do metallic shadows so I'm going for a pop of color on the eyes. I'm definitely not going to be as dramatic as this look here and it'll be much more blended and subtle but dramatic at the same time.

25I love berry-stained lips and black liquid eye liner for fall.
26My first pick would be the pop of colour when done right (that model example pick looks awful). My second, very close second, was the metallic shadow, it does look good on just about everyone.

28I love a subtle stained lip! I really want to learn how to do winged liner but I've never been able to figure it out myself. It just never looks right or even!

I feel like the bold lips look ridiculous with my skin tone, and my eyebrows are naturally thin and light in color, so even when I try to go bold they look plucked.

39The metallic eyeshadow and stained lips look nice. Those eyebrows are a bit too bold though. Fuller brows are nice but they shouldn't look like man eyebrows. If they are going to be bold they should also be nicely shaped and no too close together. Also, they should gentley taper towards the outer edge not get thicker.
40I like all the trends. I usually like my makeup to be bold and bright.
