There are some things that are beyond my understanding: The pyramids, tetraneutrons, why Heidi Montag came out with a record. I now consider Kerastase's new shampoo, Bain Divalent ($27), one of them. This shampoo is for those with a greasy scalp and dry ends — a.k.a. combination hair. Those with dry hair know what it's like to skip a few shampoos in hopes of getting silky ends, only to find your roots so greasy that by the time you do wash, you need a clarifying shampoo, putting you back at square one. How a shampoo can know where your scalp is and where your ends are is beyond me. While lathering up with it, your roots feel less oily and your ends feel silky. Of course, $27 is a lot to go (literally) down the drain, so you could also use two different shampoos, one on roots and one on ends. But if you're a busy lady with a little cash to burn, give it a try!

Never a huge fan of this brand, most of the time the shampoos were too hard on my hair...
1I agree aimeeb.
I always read about how much celebrities love this brand, but I really think that's just because its expensive.
I've tried the hydrating shampoo and deep conditioning mask, and they actually DRIED my hair out like nobody's business. The shampoo was incredibly harsh and the mask didn't moisturize well at all.
There are so many better products out there for less money.
And you if have oily roots and dry ends, here's an idea. Shampoo only the roots and rinse well. The product that runs down the shaft will clean enough. Then condition only the ends of the hair.
2I LOVE LOVE LOVE KERASTASE - I have to switch off between it and bumble though cause its so expensive. I get the dark green see-through one (cant remember what its called - bain de resistance maybe) and i have thin/fine colored treated hair and i swear it makes my hair fuller and healthier.
3I have always had good luck with Kerastase - and was just moaning about this problem the other day! Are you psychic or something, Bella??
Is it safe for color-treated hair?
4ok, emailed Kerastase and it IS safe for color treated hair! thanks so much, Bella, I am gonna go pick some up from the salon today at lunch and try it out!!!
5I've never heard of Kerastase until last week when I went to the hair salon and my hairstylist told how much it is the best out of all the shampoo but still, I don't want to spend 35$ for a shampoo that might not work for me.
6I love Kerastase! And this is SO my hair type--it is too fine for me to go more than a day without washing (gets greasy at the scalp), but the ends are always dry!
