It's always a pleasure to see America Ferrera; she seems so sunny and pretty and lovely. And tonight, she's channeling Rita Hayworth with that wavy hair and 1940s-style red lipstick.
The key to making a bold lip color work is to pair it with a toned-down eye as America has done. A little bit of shimmer near the inner corner of the eyes draws attention but doesn't distract. What do you think of this classic look?

She's so pretty, but her hair looks like it needs 5 more minutes of attention.
1Lots of frizzy hair at the Emmy's tonight, but other than the hair, I think that America looks beautiful here. Love the colour of the lipstick on her.
2I love her so much. I wasn't expecting this look on her at all, but I love her makeup. She looks so gorgeous. Her hair is frizzy, but I do like the style.
3The wavy, 1940s-pinup style looks much better on shorter hair (about chin-length). But I do like her lips - it's difficult to do good red lips, and she wears it well.
