Judging from Sunday's poll, Hayden Panettiere's look was an overall "love it" at the 2008 Emmy Awards. And that skin? Seriously, I just might need to contact Hayden's facialist, dermatologist, and/or makeup artist.
Well, guess what? We're in luck, because makeup artist Amy Oresman, who was responsible for Hayden's flawless face, shared the lowdown on how to achieve her "flat-out glamorous look." She used Neutrogena products, as Hayden is one of the brand's spokespeople. Check out the how-to below and learn exclusive tips from Oresman on how to achieve Hayden's dark, dramatic eyes:
- Cheeks: For her trademark sun-kissed glow, Mineral Sheers Bronzer ($10.79) was dusted around the perimeter of Hayden's face, hairline, cheekbones, and lightly down the bridge of her nose. To tie the look together, the powder was applied to neck and shoulders as well. Next, a light sweep of Healthy Skin Blends Sheer Highlighting Blush in Fresh ($10.95) was added to the apples of the cheeks.

- Eye shadow: For a nude finish, Nourishing Eye Duo in Iced Coffee ($7.64) was applied on Hayden's lids, while the darker shade was swept into the contour.
- Eyeliner: Use two brushes to turn eye shadow into eyeliner: a small, flat one for depositing color on the lid and a soft, fluffy brush. Oresman used the latter to, as she says, "carefully blend the seam between the smoke around the perimeter of the eye and the rest of the lid." Try Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadow in Perversion ($16), a matte black.
- Mascara: "I used just a few individual lashes on the outside edges of Hayden’s eyes for her 'Rock the Red Carpet' look," says Oresman. "It elongates her eyes, creating a sultry, almond shape that’s both sexy and glamorous." Next, she coated the lashes with Healthy Volume Mascara in Black ($7.19). Then, she filled in the outer corner of her upper eyelid with a few individual lashes. "Generous layering of mascara is the key to amplifying the beauty of both natural and false eyelashes," Oresman says.
- Lips: First, Lip Moisturizer ($3.89) was applied to keep Hayden's lips dewy and moist. For a sophisticated feel, Soothing LipSheers in Sparkling Nude ($8.09) was added for the final touch.

I PERSONALLY FIND THIS AMAZING....SHE LOOKS TOO OLD FOR 19, SHE
1LOOKS CLOSER TO 30.......THIS IS JUST SO WRONG.
Agreed Shalee55! Get Hayden's look if you're not a teenager! Can someone call Rihanna's stylist and hook her up with Hayden...hell call Rachel Zoe even.
2You don't need Hayden's facialist, dermatologist, and/or makeup artist to look like that...you need to be 19!
3Agreed, flyingroo! I'm not impressed with a 19-year-old having a dewy, fresh complexion. I'm much more impressed with, say, Jennifer Aniston's beautiful complexion at almost 40. I'm no Jen fan (Team Angie here, haha), but that woman has skin to die for.
That being said, thanks so much for the makeup how-to! Great tips!
4i don't fully believe that all her makeup is neutrogena. i mean, girl can afford better. why would she wear drugstore makeup to the EMMY'S? I am *highly* doubtful that whomever her makeup artist is is probably using some professional stuff that actually gives her the coverage and color and definition she needs to look good in photographs. Drugstore makeup never made me look that good in photographs... why should it do her any different?
5BTW Hayden looks like she's 12. That's a weird role she plays in Heroes since she looks so young.
6*sigh* I'm 20 and my skin does not look like that... stupid pimples. unfair.
7Why do they always neglect to tell us that they lined their entire waterline - upper and lower? It's glaringly obvious. I doubt as well it was all Neutrogena, especially on the eyes.
8Agreed, Daisie...I doubt this was all courtesy of Neutrogena.
9Do thine eyes deceive me or do I also see a touch of lavender eye shadow blended in there?
10It may be my screen settings, but to me, her skin looks way too orange and unnatural. Dewy? Not so much...
11brdwaystarlett, I would venture to say in this picture it totally looks like some lavender.
However, I Googled "Hayden Panettiere Emmys" and found some photos on JustJared dot com that you can click and make pretty big. That lavender might be silver/grey, as you can't quite get that shade from a true black so close to the eyes, even with buffing, as mentioned.
There is clearly what looks like some green in or above her crease that may have been photoshopped out of this pic, especially if Neutrogena gave it to Bella (though I've seen it on other sites). That green might actually be another grey shade though, with her eyes making it appear green.
While the Iced Coffee duo looks like a pretty duo for a daytime look especially, it was not used on Hayden. The light shade MAY have been used as a highlight and/or the inner corner, as it is looks like very pale peachy/cream shade. But it was certainly not used on her lids. The darker shade is a medium pinky-brown. In other pictures of her, it looks as though it MAY have been possibly used under the smoky liner or in other places, but I do believe those are just the shadows of her facial structure.
I am not accusing Bella of anything or trying to nitpick Bella, so please don't go attacking me. I'm saying what I see is different from what Oresman says is there. Hayden is a spokeswomen, so they have to say it's all Neutrogena.
I would go with Neutrogena on the cheeks and lips, though. She's got a highlight on the apples and a bronzer used to contour.
12I like t. But this makeup can make eyes look smaller..
13I highly doubt she used Neutrogena products. Maybe some, but not all of her make up was from them.
14If it was from Neutrogena, I would love to know what foundation they used, because that stuff is in my budget
On make-up artists....they come with a big box of tricks, and
15as I remember from fashion shoots, they mix the colors and brands together....if you ever tried to buy the lipstick on the cover of a magazine you know it never, never looks the same....I think the products mentioned are just a way to get "THE LOOK",
probably not the exact ones used...but there's nothing wrong with Neutrogena skincare....need to try the makeup, expensive isn't always better....
I kinda like her lashes but her eyebrows look, like....shaved.
16Sorry, but she looks so old here. She also reminds me of Laura Linney with that hairstyle.
17You read my mind Bella. I have the perfect blue for this and I had no idea how to wear it without making my eyes look really tiny.
18i love her hair and makeup but i wasn't diggin her dress. i think that we're lucky that this is bella since that's quite possible the best part of her whole ensemble. i love that she's got such great skin, but she's still young so we'll see if we can say that in a few years. i think that the smokey eye and limited other color on her face was a great choice for her!
19I want to know how to do this but whenever I try the tips, it never looks similiar at all!
20I think she looks really beautiful and her makeup looks really good in this picture!
21Hayden is a spokes model for Neutrogena so it's no surprise that they stated that they used those products on her. I don't think she is contractually allowed to promote any other skin-care/make-up line. I think her make-up is gorgeous though, but not suited for a 19 year old child! This is something that would be beautiful on Charlize Theron.
22She beautiful! Just a thought..
~Angel
23She's becoming one of those former child stars (or even a former gymnast) who looks as if they never quite finished puberty-almost like the female version of a castrato. But seems to make up for it by dressing her tiny frame in adult dress up clothes-think Olsen twins.
She was a very pretty child-odd looking adult.
24As for her facialist? It's called piled on thick foundation.
I wish Bar Rafaeli would see a facialist for some serious dermabrasion.
