The latest fragrance from Anna Sui, to be released later this year, has a lovely bottle that beauty junkies are already swooning over. The perfume comes on very strong — when I first put it on, I thought I smelled like very fancy mouthwash. The scent dries down into a powdery blueberry, which isn't awful but feels a little Violet Beauregarde. In addition to blueberry as a top note, Night of Fancy also has grapefruit leaves and wild strawberries as well as warmer base notes like jasmin and cashmeran.
In all, this fragrance is a little teenage for my tastes, but perfume is a personal enterprise. My advice? Try before you buy.

I LOVE the bottle, but based on your description of the fragrance, I don't think I'd like it. I do not want to smell like a blueberry.
1The bottle is gorgeous! And I really like fruit-based scents (smelling teenager-ish doesn't really bother me, I just turned twenty), so I might have to check it out!
2I love that bottle, i'm definitely going to try this. I hope I like it!
3The bottle is so pretty! I HAVE TO SMELL IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! It smells like teenage? Well, I'd rater smell like a teen then a granny as Chanel No5. Everybody has a different taste in perfume... I like something sweet and fruity.
4OH MAN! I hope this is as awesome as my old favorite Anna perfume...
5the packaging really is in line with anna sui, and i think for the image itself i would get it, but i haven't really been overly fond of her scent in the past - so i think that i might have to pass on this. i'm sure that when it comes out sephora will carry it so i'll probably go and smell it, but based on your review, i can guess that now i'll pass on the purchase.
6When you described it as smelling like fancy mouthwash, I was instantly turned off. I like fruit notes in fragrances, but the way I'm smelling this in my head is unpleasant. It sounds like it smells too strong and cloyingly sweet.
