Even if you don't think you know Thierry Mugler's famous fragrance, Angel, you would probably recognize it. Launched in 1992, the scent is a perennial best-seller in both France and the United States. It's a honey-vanilla-chocolate confection — after all, it did launch the gourmand genre — and it's definitely a classic.
But every classic needs an update now and then, and Angel's no exception. Naomi Watts, who's fabulous at forty, appears in a new ad campaign to promote a line of new Angel body products. "Bella, you crazy," you might be thinking. "Angel already has body lotions and what-not." Touché. But the new ones have been tweaked, and in a sense, completely redone to make the perfume longer lasting. Having sniffed how well the Perfuming Body Cream ($80) held up through multiple hand washings, I can tell you that the scents do last a long time without fading or mutating. Is it too punny to say that this is heaven for Angel fans?

I used to love Angel when I was in college, now the smell of it makes me gag.
1I think Angel is one of those scents that people either love or hate. I have to honestly say that of all the perfumes I've ever tried, this is the worst. It smells absolutely horrid on me. I guess it's supposed to smell sweet/chocolately? On me (or at least though my nose) it smells rancid/almost metallic.

3I've been wearing it since the day after it hit stores in the US... I am thrilled to get a revamp on it... and always looking for new mediums for it... that jar for the body cream is worth the $80 alone!!!

5its so funny when people talk about angel...... most people think angel is a sweet fragance and in part they are right.....but most people really dont know anything about it......like angel was the first fragance to be the color blue to resemble the sky and that mr mugler was told by a fortune teller back in his early years as a designer that he had a shape of a star in his palm and that he had to follow it to find success or that the name angel its meant to imply "guardian angel" because angel will stay with you all day to protect you.....this is why i love angel because its not just a fragance that was made like many others out there in the market for a quick sell....angel has a story and a purpose and by the way lets get the story clear eventhough its in the category of gourmand its not i repeat not a sweet dry down on your skin......but rather a powdery ,sophisticated,feminine dry down that you can take from morning to evening thats anothe reason i use angel its very ambiguous and flexible........i cán´t belive some people will rather pay a lot more money for bond9, creed among other fragances that will not even last for half a day...... my essencials are hermes,angel,prada,cartier ......

7angel is one of 2 parfum that does not smell like a skunk 30 minutes after applying on me and hurray-i will never tire of it and... men have stopped me and complimented me on my fragrance!!!!!!!!! I will take that ant day of the week. I am a purist and love the original scent.
